How did I get myself into this mess......

OK, First of all I was able to get a couple days off work (I think everyone reading this knows how special vacation days are) and planned a trip to Las Vegas. I had scheduled for the 14 to 17th september.
Yes THAT 14th September - so I could fly in and "hopefully" get on the list for the M and G.

There was me 4 weeks ago walking around with a huge smile on my face, jump in my step - hell I was even smiling at the grocery store. Just imagine, single guy, going to Vegas ALONE, for 3 days and hopefully attending a M and G... Had I gone to Heaven ????

Whammy number 1:
My company approved 17, 18 and 19. They needed me in Indy for the week of 10th...ALL Week. Damn

Backup plan 1, so I still have a couple days, fly in Saturday and home Wednesday - but miss the M and G.

Whammy number 2:
"Your're getting married WHEN?" I asked my idiot friend. "September 15th" he replied.

Backup plan 2, so I cannot persuade him to marry in Vegas or NOT get married at all - I am back to Fly in Sunday and Back Wednesday.....this will STILL work, i told myself.

Whammy number 3:
Mother and step-father calls up...She says "hello, honey I know you go to Vegas for work and holiday...will you be there week of September 16th till 22nd"....WTF !!!!!!! They are visiting with some friends from Florida. Are you Kidding Me !!!!!!

Backup plan: I am a good son (really I am) - so this being their anniversary I told them I will take care of their room and a show (anniversary gift to them).
I like surprises so I told them I put them up in the Flamingo with tickets to see Jubilee. ACTUALLY: I am going to get them a room at Wynn and Tix for Jersey Boys (they will love that show).
Also, Wynn is FAR away from TheHotel, which is where I will be staying and hopefully allowing me to enjoy some providers.

DO Not get me wrong, I like spending time with my parents; but i LOVE spending time with the ladies from TER.

This is a true story -"come hell or high water" I plan on having a good time in Vegas.

Funny story but it shows your determination to get to Vegas and have a good time.
Sometimes the best laid plans things happen like in your situation.
You have the right attitude I wish you much fun and relaxation while here in Vegas.

Thats one of the reasons I always go to Vegas alone (:-))

Please come back with a follow up.  I mean hell, "in-laws, different hotels, providers, work calling, one room or show mix up and..........i'm laughing all ready?

Just postpone it to another weekend, so that you can attend your friend's wedding, avoid your family and your company owes you.

will be that you go on a crazy streak at the tables and win enough to pay for the whole trip! Enjoy your trip!

It looks like you have a great plan, too bad you'll miss the M&G but you will get your lady time.  The only change I would have made is the hotels, both are great but I would stay at the Wynn and put them in TheHotel

Have fun and get the ladies lined up before you go.

I thought that too; But I really want to surprise them.
I did this about 8 years ago (when Bellagio was THE hotel in Vegas). My parents had family over from UK and France. I told them I had got them some comped rooms at Flamingo.

As i drove from the airport (I take Koval and turn on Flamingo) - I drive right by the Flamingo - in the car I say "damn it I missed the the turn, I have to turn around."

I take a left onto LVBLD - (perfect timing fountain show is playing) - and turn into Bellagio parking garage. I park the car and say
"surprise, you are all staying here".

As I am checking them in - I turn around and see my steo-dad holding my mother, she is crying........WTF......she was just so surprised and happy. Then my Aunt started crying, I mean what a sight in the Lobby of the Bellagio.
