I set up a Paypal donation account a couple of weeks ago. As of this morning they have "limited" my account, and pending a review will release the funds in 180 days ... maybe. ???

Has anyone dealt with this before?

I have only received a modest $650 dollars, but am in desperate need of this money.

Any advice appreciated.

Have you tred Social security/disbility for help?
Is there any sites that offer donations to causes?
Im sorry to hear about your health problems.. I pray for your getting better..Prayer is the best gift sometimes.. I wish I could you offer more ie: money or maybe more clinics locally..

that if PP thinks your account is being used for escort type services, they will deny it, or put a hold on it.  Not sure, but that might have something to do with your problem.

I had no experience with PP in the past. They said you can accept donations up to 10k, so I thought it would be a good idea. Seems every decision I make lately is always the wrong one.

Keep your head up Lorsha! And yes, do give Pay"pal" a call. Green Dot is an alternative, but won't make it easy for people to give you money.

A bit of a commentary, but only $650 so far? Maybe some fellas can put off one date and match that amount and you girls that make 20-30K/month can surely find something to contribute.

According to the terms of the class action lawsuit settlement agreement, PayPal is supposed to provide you with the reason your account was frozen, and the information they have (subject to their privacy policy and fraud prevention policy). You should ask for this information if they don't give it. It may tell you what direction you need to go to resolve the problem.
