Allure, I love your idea and think the cable companies would be happy to oblige(getting another bite off the apple as they say in finance) I too, use my remote a lot when these miserable snippets appear on the tube. If I do say so, Ive gotten really fast at switching channels but fear it'll break any minute due to overuse and I'll be forced to actually get up and go the the TV to switch channels. Tuesday it'll be over thank God.
would be if I can prove I voted early....THE CABLE COMPANY WOULD BLOCK ALL THE ANNOYING ASS POLITICAL COMMERCIALS! If I could take a frigging note, call from the booth, take a photo from the booth...anything to prove I voted early....should be grounds to not have to be tortured every election.

the money spent to irritate and misinform voters was spent to do some good for the country-feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, educating our youth. Living next to a swing state-swing, not swinger, I am talking Iowa, I am inundated with political commercials from both sides-full of half-truths and outright lies. Thank the good Lord for TV remote controls.

The commercials really didn't sway me one way or the other...they never will change my mind........the one thing I am convinced of....is the networks SHOULD NEVER lay anyone off....they are making a fat mint off all these annoying ass commercials.
Its a sad day when I have to dvr everything I watch so I can fast forward through all the commercials.....its an day of mourning when I can admit I miss Glenn Learner....Glenn Learner is the way to go
While we are on the subject of complete wastes of money and commercials...why does Golden Corral have any commercials here? There isn't a Golden Corral in the entire state??
If we took all of the money spent on the commercials, the signs, the billboards, the conventions (OMG). I understand the ladies in Tampa and Charlotte loved the convention and I don't want to take moeny from them, BUT.... Take all of the allowed and donated money. Then ask........
How many people could that feed? How many children could that save? How many families could be provided a roof? How many jobs could be created? How much of the deficit would go away? How much medication or care could that provide the elderly? How many diseases (AIDS, Cancer, MS, etc.) could we have cured by now.
I can't stand it when they say they care about the middle class or unemployed, then spend money on buses and planes like it is monopoly money. Sorry for my vent. Glad it is only every 4 years.
Also all of the annoying phone calls as well I just stopped answering my home phone. I voted early too but they still call and all of the commercials I agree thank god for a DVR!
