I've eaten everywhere in vegas.  THis is my fav.  Emerils is can't miss and the Alizé is great and has a spectacular view...

I'm going to Vegas for AVN in January and I promised a few ladies I'd take them out to dinner.  Does anyone have recommendations on some of the finer restaurants and bars in town?  It's been a while since I've visited.

Restaurants can be of any kind of cuisine as I know they all have different tastes.  Bars should allow for private conversations (where the music isn't too loud) and where guys aren't going to be constantly hitting on us or recognizing them as porn stars and asking for signatures.

Thanks for your help.

You may want to repost this, more discreetly, on a website called Chowhound.com southwest board.

lots of thoughts on the mater since I must entertain clients in town frequently.  But guaranteeing that guys will not hit on hot looking ladies is not possible.  But best of luck anyway----   By the way - welcome to LV -- I have always enjoyed your DC posts..

Prime in the Bellagio is first-class.. best steakhouse in town, classy, dress-up kind of place.  Get a fountain view table.  You can have drinks first on the terrace bar between Picasso and Prime- one of the best kept secrets in Vegas.  The Caramel Bar in the Bellagio is usually quiet for a drink afterwards.  Rock on, GirlinDC- I really like your style.

I haven't been in a few years, but I really enjoyed the food there, and the vodka bar is impressive. :)

Aquanox, at the Venitian, seafood.  Bradley Ogden and Nero's, at Caesers.  I'll second Prime, at Bellagio.  You might try the restaurant, up the Eiffel tower.

Go to forums and you will see a lot of coomentary on LV restaurants from serious food people.
I wouldn't go near an ethnic restaurant in LV as any major metro area has better versions of Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese.
Mon Ami Gabi has a cool view of the Bellagio as mentioned, altho the outdor patio will be cold in Jan. Thye also have a cool winecart concept inside where you can taste individual wines before buying them by the glass. Very good chick's night/day out. Bellagio Buffet Mon-Thurs is best value in LV and the ONLY buffet worth while. You can eat very healthy there and don't need to do the forklift feeding to enjoy it.
No other buffet can even compare so don't waste your time.
For a fine dining experience, I would look for a prix fixe dinner, as LV can be way overpriced in that segment. Easy to pay 2-3x what you would pay at Citronelle in DC for example for the same thing.
Some places are very cool for appetizer grazing: SeaBlue in MGM, Mesa in Caesars.
Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Mon Ami's at the Paris, get a table right on the strip off to the side for privacy, and for a good view of Bellagio fountains, and the crusin. For more privacy, Buzio's at Rio used to have big booths but they took them out so you may opt for Wolfgang Puk's place at the Venetian which is by the courtyard where there are frequent Renaissance type performers - singers, dancers, musicians, and pavoracci (sp) look alikes. and I hear other celeb look alikes. The steak house at Luxor, is back east style and also private. There are some off strip places too, off Boulder highway but they are more Confetti like places for more confined. I wish that they had more places with the big boothes in them.

For the great recommendations and a few of the compliments.  I was not expecting that a few of you from this board have read my posts in DC.

I look forward to visiting Vegas for one of the best trips I've had in a long time. :)
