lvchi4u is right. Cosmopolitan ROCKS. I am in a room with a soaking tub and shower and balcony overlooking Bellagio.   Hopefully I will get someone lined up. I have been work work working and not entirely sure I will get to have any fun after all. If I do it will be LATE... but damn this room could be fun!!
Thanks everyone.

So I am trying to decide which of these to book for this weekend. My first choice, the Cosmo, is sold out.  I've never stayed at either. I tend to prefer trendy over stuffy. It may sound weird, but a nicely appointed shower is also a plus. Anyone have advice?

Well then City Center is ging to be your best bet I think.
I read somewhere Trump has a surprize $20 per day parking fee add on(not a nice surprize). Maybe someone can confirm or disavow that for you.

Not only is Trump looking very dated these days, but the last few times I was there, their rooms are in need of an update. *wink*

I stayed there in September and I was just there a few weeks ago for a night.

No security downstairs at elevators.  And it's a short walk to Bellagio or Aria for excitment.

If its peace and quiet you are looking for Trump is the the choice of the two, however TheHotel would be my choice for peace and quiet.

If you are not renting a car be aware that Trump is built on a lot set back from the strip separated by a large city block sized vacant construction lot. You will not be walking unless you REALLY want the exercise. You will be taking a taxi everywhere.

of staying at Vdara and visiting Cosmo's great Bars and night life.

I've stayed at Wynn, great showers.  Big rooms.

there is no casino but I would go with Vdara. If you stay at the Vdara you are in walking distance of the other great properties that City Center offers. If you stay at the Trump just like another reply said there is nothing there in walking distance you would have to take a cab.The only thing around there is the mall across the street. Also,Trump does not have a fee to park Valet (you can only valet)at least the last time I was there a couple of months ago they did not.
I also agree with THEHotel Mandalay Bay I would consider this as well as it is very nice(trendy)and no issues with security.

For me... Vdara .... it's just a short stumble away from Cosmo... and only because Cosmo is sold out.

Trump? I don't think so.... Wynn or Encore way before Trump... or even The Venetian... or The Hotel... or Bellagio.... before Trump.

If you tried booking Cosmo first... Trump should not even be in the next five of choices..
