It IS a nice place, and it's the right idea, but the rooms aren't all that big even for Westin rooms, let alone Vegas rooms.
My assumption here is FBSM = massage table (and space to put it).
I recommend the Platinum across the street- same or BETTER prices, 900-1000 sf full suites (separate bedroom and kitchen), jacuzzis, washer/dryer in some rooms (very helpful if you are washing sheets that get massage oil on them).
Ok guys, im ready to come play next weekend and test the waters I will be staying somewhere on the strip or very close. Convenient to some and not so for others i know. I know this is asked all the time but couldnt find a definite answer. What is a hassel free hotel for my visitors? Advice is always so much appreciated from gents and providers. Thanks guys.. See you next weekend? Dana xo
The Westin Casuarina. It's very close to the strip, without being on the strip. (It's at the corner of Flamingo and Koval.) If somebody is driving there it is very easy parking the garage, and more importantly, the walk from the garage to the elevators takes less than a minute and is probably less than 200 feet. If visitors are taking a cab from a strip hotel it's close by (therefore the taxi fare will not be too much) and the walk from the main entrance to the elevators will take about 10 seconds.
No security at the elevators, so your visitors can go right on up to the room. The rooms are very nice. (I stayed there once when I had a little too much to drink and didn't want to drive home.)
Casino is nice, small and unpretentious. Restaurant is a little expensive, but the food is good.
The one drawback is that this hotel usually doesn't have the $25 a night specials you can find at the places like the Sahara or the Tropicana (but those places are dumps). Still, during the week you can generaly get a room for under $100 a night if you shop around on the travel web sites.
