I understand providers wanting to see a drivers license to verify that your picture matches up and that you are from out of state. But for what possible legitimate reason do they need to know your real name and the actual city in a given state where you live on an outcall, where clearly the hotel has your name on file? Why would anyone want to be put in a provider's computer data base under their real name and hometown, perhaps to be contacted out of the blue in the future? How do experienced hobbyists handle a provider that demands this information? Have you found an alternative compromise that they will accept?
Well, that is why you use TER.
To find a reputable provider whose discretion can be trusted. Reviews and our reputations speak to our credibility. However, we need some way to verify you are safe for us to meet.
IDs mean next to nothing. Fake IDs are easy to come by, especially for LE. And we would have to agree to meet you to see the ID and in this town that alone can get you a night's accommodations downtown.
The hotel having your name also means nothing. LE books the rooms under a name too. They don't book the room under 'LVMPD' or 'Vice'. Without knowing your name and where you are from how are we to verify we are dealing with a real person and not an LE alias?
I suppose there are some providers who will accept you on references alone, but then you must have references for that to work. For me, the only time I will see someone on a reference alone is if I personally know, respect, and trust the lady referring.
There are some services you can purchase memberships to that pre-screen clients and providers can verify you through them. Usually providers can also give you references though the same service. Not sure if I can mention them by name here though. (?) Again, it is a lady's prerogative if she trusts the service and is willing to see you on their word.
We need to protect ourselves somehow. Most of us have screening processes that have been developed through time and experience. None of it is meant to be intrusive or to have your info filed away to contact you at a later date. Of course I am speaking of reputable, well reviewed ladies. There are certainly some scandalous women out there. You have found TER, so you are on the right track to finding a responsible, reliable companion who you can trust your privacy is safe with.
Of course you can find women who don't mind taking more risk and will ask for less, or even no, screening info. But just as she is taking a risk by doing that, YOU are taking a risk seeing her. I find most of my clients are happily screened because they feel safer with someone who takes measures to protect themselves. It is certainly your choice what level of screening you are comfortable with. But it also every lady's choice to screen to the extent that makes her comfortable and to refuse service to those who are not willing to do so. So if it's not a match, move on... there are many, many ladies to choose from in Vegas. ![]()
One last note... I would not say we 'demand' anything. That implies we are nearly forcing you into something. We simply have requirements if you wish to partake of our services. If you don't like the requirements, you can easily find another lady. Certainly no one has a monopoly in this business. You have all the choices in the world.

you may mention the screening services on the board.
In fact here are two I am a lifetime member of:
http://www.date-check.com/
and
http://preferred411.com/
All great advise with your post.
"for your protection and mine," what that means is, girls that don't screen get arrested. When they are arrested then the police take their cell phones and sometimes laptops. Then they proceed to have to have the decoy (female vice officer) answer then phone and book appointments. Of course they don't bother to screen because they will get all the guy's information once they have him handcuffed.
I have first hand knowledge of this happpening twice just in the past month. Neither incident was in Vegas, but I am sure that it happens here too. The vice force has tripled in the past few years.
I really appreciate the intelligent, respectful, helpful responses. I must confess, I still don't see how the demand for full names and full addresses adds up. How does it follow that girls who don't screen get arrested? LE can give any name they want from any town, and easily doctor up a fake ID. So how is a provider safer seeing someone's first name and exact street adress. Shouldn't a last name that matches the hotel registration and an out-of-state license photo that matches the guy in the hotel room be enough? Why not demand a wife's e-mail address, just to be really safe? What LE can't do (I assume) is toss an envelope on the dresser and drop their pants. Again, I just don't get why a hobbyist would agree to this level of disclosure, when you have no idea how it is being stored or how it may be used in the future. And, of course, you have no idea who the provider really is, or what she has done in the past, or may do in the future. A provider can changer her name and cell phone number any day of the week. But I am here to learn.

Again, I appreciate the courtesy of the responses. But the logic of the responses don't add up to me. So be it. I also find it curious the extent to which the responses appear to be written from the perspective of providers, rather than hobbyists. I don't mean that in a critical sense, I just am surprised at the extent to which they appear to be represented in site discussions. But then, I am new to this site and what it is all about.
I'm sorry, but your explanation, while kind and sincere, is dichotomous and cannot logically support itself.
Please take another look.
If LE can
1) produce an out-of-state realistic and legal 'fake' ID, and
2) have a working out-of-state cell phone number, and
3) register with a hotel under that name,
then the ONLY thing that you can verify is that the man in the room with you has
A) an out of state ID that matches what he told you,
B) a cell phone with an area code that matches what he told you and C) the information the Hotel has matches what he told you.
You have verified absolutely NOTHING of value.
And if, as you say, LE can
1) put a gift envelope in your hand and
2) proceed to have (what amounts to illegal) sex acts with you (with immunity for HIS actions),
then the ONLY thing you can do to protect your self is to
A) make sure he uses YOUR condom.
Because no matter what, you are getting screwed! Pun intended.
You are not protected in ANY way by collecting this information.
Having all that personal info about a client may make you feel safer, but those are just feelings. Thinking it adds a real layer of safety from LE is unrealistic. In fact, all it does is remove a layer of safety for your client
Realistically, here is what actually will help protect you from LE:
* Avoid doing or saying ANYTHING that connects the transfer of money in exchange for a sexual activity. (You know this.)
* NEVER have a tiered pricing structure for different services.
* DON'T pick up, look at or acknowledge the envelope in any way until he is gone.
* Retain the BEST LAWYER you can find.
* If during a session your client says or does ANYTHING that goes against the proper code of conduct, take immediate action to stop the encounter, and verbally put his intent into question and clearly state yours.
(Even if you have to say "You want me to sell you sex?!?! I am not that kind of woman!! Do I need to call 911??")
Please remember, LE is not your real worry anyway. The City Attorney or County Attorney is. Badges with guns detain and arrest people. That is all. They will even set-up, lie, manipulate, plant evidence, and more as they try to make people believe they enforce the law, while they bolster their careers. They don't really enforce law. They are just the janitors.
The Prosecutors do the enforcement. And they have to get past a judge or jury to do that. If that process was 1) so easy to do and 2) of political interest to the elected officials, then all of you beautiful, wonderful and important companions would be incarcerated right now. You see, it’s really a matter of priority. You are not important to them.
Escort stings are only publicity moves for elected officials to convince the conservative public tax payer that they are doing their job. They are media events to calm the inquiring minds. (Think of Craig’s List.) Most serious anti-crime efforts by LE will focus on organized groups, (think about that Agency girls! And, don’t even MENTION pimps) so RICO laws can be invoked to make huge seizures and advance the careers of those in charge. (Plus, LE gets to KEEP all the assets they seize!)
The thing is, if you are a low key, discreet, independent, who has a brain and uses it, AND STAYS AWAY FROM PIMPS AND DRUGS, you are not likely to EVER have trouble. Why? Because, truthfully, NOBODY CARES!
Think about it.
Do you really believe that what you do is a secret? That your websites are deep web? That everyone doesn’t know there are escorts everywhere? That LE only knows about Craig’s List? That LE doesn't know EXACTLY WHO and WHERE you are already?
Be realistic. The vale of secrecy you think you have isn't just thin, IT DOES NOT EXIST.
I repeat, IT DOES NOT EXIST.
If you take a look at the current Political Climate surrounding this victimless crime, when LE cracks down these days, the focus is on obtaining CLIENT INFORMATION and making it PUBLIC. By embarrassing or even destroying a man’s life, they are attempting to scare off future clients and reduce the ‘crime’ that way.
Please do not be offended about this next comment; it is blunt, but true.
Most hobbyist’s reputation and lives would be ruined by an arrest, and if the information that they saw an escort became public. An escort’s reputation is not ruined by being identified publicly as an escort. And if faced with a heavy offense and offered a reduced prosecution, an escort would divulge all the info about her clients. Law of survival.
Escorts clients need their anonymity far more than escorts their detailed personal information. Escorts use stage names, so should clients.
You can believe what I say is accurate. I AM NOT LE, but I have extensive first hand experience about what I write.
One last thing...
When the local tourism bureau launches a national campaign to openly promote Las Vegas as the city to travel to so you can secretly ‘be bad,’ do you think they really care about going after you indy girls?
"What happens in Vegas..."

the ladies you say are asking for a home street address? I have very, very, very rarely seen a request for a street address...once I think.
The problem with your conclusions as to showing an ID ect. is that the lady is already alone in a room with you by then. If you give a fake name or just a free email address what is to keep you from changing that every week? You could rip off, rough up, or rape a new lady every week and she wouldn't know who you were to tell other ladies...you could bust many women in a week and she would have no way to warn others. So they ask for a name and usually work information.
Thing is unless you are some kind of multi-billionaire that would really really make it worth her time to blackmail or do anything else to you (and you still be able to hide that you were paying her off as blackmail only works well if it isn't noticed payment is being made) no lady is going to ruin her reputation and livelihood over you.
The ladies that have a year or more in this business haven't been just biding their time waiting to ruin your world...
They haven't seen many clients and acted with professionalism just because they had in the back of their minds..."one day 'Power Ties' will show up and call me and then years of work will finally pay off as I will use his information to set myself up for life"...

I don't know of anybody off the top of my head who asks for a home address. The only time that I ever do is when I have to MapQuest it for outcall. (yeah, yeah, Google Maps is better)
"They haven't seen many clients and acted with professionalism just because they had in the back of their minds..."one day 'Power Ties' will show up and call me and then years of work will finally pay off as I will use his information to set myself up for life"
VERY NICE ONE!!!!
I can understand that it feels invasive to be asked for personal information. But we are allowing you to enter our most private place, do we not deserve some kind of courtesy and respect? The provider may have a stage name, or she might be using the name you would see on her drivers license. The only way to know if you are giving your private information to a woman of high reputation is to look at her reviews, maybe contact the gentlemen who posted those reviews, and get in touch with her to see what kind of a person she is. Phone conversations are great, especially if you just call to say hello and find out if we click.
You have a tool here with TER, learn to use it properly and you will find women you can trust.
Tell her you got a couple days off from your job stocking shelves at WalMart. You won a free hotel room in Vegas in a contest for best stock boy. You've been saving all year for this one piece of ass. Believe me, none of your personal info will be in her computer after that.
