I started doing my research so I am well prepared for this year's AVN - and I am already making arrangements to take time off from my real legit job to spend some quality time in Vegas for the AVN. (I told my boss I have to attend the CES and he was cool...) I have always wanted to be there for the AVN awards and everything. Last night I looked on line for some of the 411 on the parties going on in the hotels and around town associated with the AVN. But I was wondering has anyone ever been who could lend some advice on the convention? Where to stay? What to do? Are the tickets worth the price of admission for the awards? etc...etc...And LJ did my eyes deceive me? or is that young hot boy you introduced me to one of the nominees for an award???  drool...LOL

i went to the 2004 avn awards.  the porn stars were everywhere.  mike tyson showed up and had his hands on the ass of every girl who was brave enough to approach him.  i took a lot of pictures.  i missed last year but i look foward to going this year.  you'll see a lot of stars at the venetian by day and imperial palace by night...............drooling thinking of lee chase

That's it, I am going for sure!!! Where is the best hotel to stay at?? I have my own fun group party kinda site http://www.leelabang.com  and so I had a production company approach me about some scenes in their stuff for AVN (I guess they'll have some booth of whatever this year) so maybe you'll see me ther after all...I'm droolin about you too, sashole :) LOL

It's gonna be expensive since you got CES (well over 100,000 attending) plus AVN (a few 10,000) going on at the same time.  Venetian would be best since you won't have to travel far and can sneak out for some R&R when the mad times in the Sands are too much (plus you got Vivid, the nightclub and the hot club/restaurant of the moment, Tao).  Wynn and Mirage have new nightclubs opening just before year end so those places will soon have the hot club of the moment (plus both are not that far from the Sands/Venetian).

I haven't checked recently but LV Advisor has/had a relationship with Travelaxe that seemed to be decent for finding rooms.

Quzi - I know hotels will be expensive and goodness knows I won't stay at any cheesy dives, but I'd like to think that a couple of you boys will take care of me when I am there...I know I am not Nikki but someone might throw me a bone (just kiddin ' LOL)...

BonyBoyBob - thanks for the party info - I found a swinger party on line too for couples I think at Mand Bay sports bar Fri eve of AVN called the Sin xxx party or something - tickets are on sale now. Great idea for a provider date no??

I just wanna be prepared this year and not miss the boat from waiting too late...I like to be organized.

As for where to stay...well, it's all going to be heinously expensive. You might try this, though:

The Sahara at $150 a night isn't great, but prices are pretty ridiculous (do it through the Sahara's website and you'll be paying twice as much).

I also note the Orleans still has rooms, if you don't mind driving...

Best bet IMHO is Treasure Island. I go every year and there are always tons of parties there. I am also offering a party package on my website this year for those of you who might want to live on the wild side. It is definately not for the faint of heart. It is the biggest and wildest party you will most likely ever go to. Some award recipients even celebrate by having sex together at their tables for all to see. Absolutely Amazing if you like that stuff! :)
