I think I've played every course in town, including all the private clubs and, for the money, I would go with TPC Canyons or Bear's Best for public courses. If there is any way it can be arranged (you have to go with a member), Southern Highlands if fantastic.
I have some friends coming over from London in March and they want to Golf. Since I dont Golf I have No clue where to take them. Can anyone please give recommendations on best place to golf in Vegas and what the fees may be. Thanks in advance.
Over 40 choices in Vegas. Some of the best courses in the States are in Vegas.
UK folk would have some "crack" at Royal Links.
Bears Best is a phenomenal course.
If they gamble at MGM or Harrahs casinos then they can inquire about Shadow Creek, Cascada, or Rio Secco. Those are top notch tracks. The Wynn course has mixed reviews at $500 a pop.
Two courses in Primm are worth the trip.
Good luck!

Cascata is the best by far, but check weather it can be cold in March-- also cheaper then.
Go with them if they go -- it is worth seeing!
... I have been fortunate enough to be able to enjoy a lot of courses in Vegas. And I am consistently breaking 100 now I'm happy to add! *wink*
Bears best is one of my favorites. ($150 range). The Wynn course is not worth the $500 price tag, unless a fast round is necessary. You can play a round there in 3 hours or less due to very few people. Paiute golf resort is a beautiful and challenging course. ($100 range). Black mountain in Henderson is another favorite of mine. ($125 range).
TPC Summerlin is also a very nice course. ($100 range).
Hit them straight hun!

I like Royal Links, but your friends may be looking for something a little different. It's designed to simulate famous courses in the British Isles, so your friends might not be too excited since they get to play the real thing back home. It's located way out on the east side of town, next to the City of Las Vegas sewage treatment plant, so if the winds are blowing east to west, the smell is not too good. (If not, you don't even realize the plant is there.) Green fees can be anywhere from $100 to $200 per round. Info can be found at: royallinksgolfclub.com.
Black Mountain in Henderson is another good one. For what it's worth, it's the course I do the best at. It's in the old part of Henderson. If you remember a couple of years ago when we had a meet and greet party at a rented house in the old part of Henderson, that house was right across the street from the third tee. In March green fees can be $75 to $100. Info can be found at: golfblackmountain.com.
If your friends are looking for the ultimate Las Vegas golf experience, they can play Bali Hai. For location, you can't beat it, right on the strip. It's just south of the Mandalay Bay, on the other side of Russell Road. The clubhouse and grounds are spectacular. However, it is a very tough course, and it's expensive. Plan on paying $200 to $250. A link to their web site is below.
A hope your friends have fun!
I think that Cascata is the best in the state. It's an excellent course, and has a very classy and upscale club house.
I really like Rio Secco, Especially if your friends are golfing for relaxation and fun. It my recommendation for: Course Layout, (a classic desert course) Service, (they really spoil us every time we are there. They treat us way better than we deserve hahaha), Relaxed attitude (not a bunch of rangers pushing you around, plentiful andhelpful drink girls, and a staff that will laugh with and enjoy you) and Price ( dollar for value cannot be topped in vegas). Feel free to pm me if you have questions.
Having been raised on la costa .. I know my greens and love to put!!

If you really want to play the best forget the Bear (boring just a bunch of copied holes) Wynn (all hype yea what a nice water fall on a flat course) You need to drive about an hour to Mesquite. Hidden there is one of my favorite courses in the U.S. It has insane elevations that actually scare you standing in the tee box. Greens smoother than any ass Ive ever seen with very challenging designs. If you play there you will actually wish you brought a camera. Wolf Creek is by far where to golf when in vegas area. Check out their website and do the "flyover" of the course. Yes its a drive but its worth it.
My clients that come in from areas where it is so green... and somewhat flat... really enjoy the Desert Courses such as Badlands... (Very FAIR price..)
If you want to take a trip to Mesquite and play Wolf Creek... that is one of a kind that you will not find anywhere in Europe.. (Very Fair Price if you want to take the trip to Mesquite.. )
And if you can play Cascata.... well these are friends I would certainly like to know...
.... (Very Expensive with Restrictions.)
There are plenty of nice courses in Las Vegas but I've found that taking friends and clients to something that they can't get at home.... or even close... make the most memorable experiences.
And if by chance... they look anything like you and you need a Caddie... Let me know... ![]()
