I figured I'd get an answer here,of all places!You remember Traci Lords,there was a scandal back in the 80's,she was a pornstar,and appeared in Penthouse,before she was 18.She appears in some "B-movies" today.I did a google search for "pornstars classics".There was a website featuring downloadable X-rated pics of her.I thought they had destroyed all the films and pics of her that were made illegaly before she turned 18.I wonder how this site gets away with.(tho I didn't mind looking at the pics!)

Well,that's kinda strange.I was able to access those pics,but the site itself is shut down.Wonder if they got in some legal trouble.Too bad,they had all the classic stars from the 80's,you don't see that much any more.

She made one hard core porn movie after she turned 18, titled "I Love You Traci."  (It was one of the first videos I rented back when I bought my first VCR.  The late '80's, what a great time!)  Anyway, she was the Producer and owned 100% of the rights to that movie.  In the porn business it is assumed (althought Traci never admitted it) that she "turned herself in" about being under age in her other films.  That way all other movies featuring her (in which she didn't own the rights) became illegal and distributors and retailers had to destroy them or face prosecution.  That way if you wanted to see Traci Lords, you had to buy the one movie that Traci owned the rights to, and therefore she gets more money out of it.

Check out "The E True Hollywood Story" about Traci Lords, it reruns often on the E cable network.

I wonder if Penthouse sold out her issue or if they just pulled it when Tracy dropped a dime on herself?

Thanks for the info.I haven't read her autobiography that came out last year,but if what you say is true,I doubt if she'd include some of those details.I'll give her credit for this much:her "legitimate" career has gone farther than most porn stars who try to go mainstream.She's a super-attractive girl,and I've seen that she can actually act(albeit in "B" movies)but once you've got that porno thing in your resume,I suppose your options are limited.For someone who left home at 15 and was into porno and drugs,she hasn't done too bad.

What's the statute of limitations on this sort of thing, anyway? Or is an underage picture always an underage picture?

I ask, because there are whole sites devoted to "vintage porn" from the 1800s to the 1970s, and they obviously can't have "proof of age" records.

I've read that internet child porn is "condemned" in every country in the world,BUT...the age of consent might vary! While checking out this Traci Lords site,I found another one where you can order her under-18 films from a European country,can't remember which one,but of course,it's still illegal to own one in this country.Also,there was a "trading post",guys here that bought up her movies before she got busted,they trade them back and forth.
