You wouldn't say, "come out and play with I," right?  So why say "come out and play with Wendy and I?"

When to use Me or I?

Take the other person out of the sentence and see which sounds right.

"Sandy and I went to the M&G."
"I went to the M&G."

(You wouldn't say "Me went to the M&G unless you are from Alabama," so "I" is correct.)


"you should come out and play with Wendy and I on Monday nigh."
"you should come out and play with I on Monday nigh."

(You wouldn't say "Come out and play with I," so "me" is correct.)

It depends on whether it's part of the subject...

If you are part of the subject, it would be "Wendy and I."  Example:

Wendy and I went to the Garth Brooks concert.

Here "Wendy and I" is the subject and "Garth Brooks concert" is the object.

If you are not part of the subject, it would be "Wendy and me."  Example:

Garth Brooks was very nice to Wendy and me.

Here "Garth Brooks" is the subject and "Wendy and me" is the object.
