Just saw a pic of Vegas and it looks ALOT worse than the pic of LA! You must be hating those westerlies! So I suggest you good peeps of Vegas limit any physical activity to the indoors.....knowwhatimean?

and I managed to limp it back from Baker. I collected an impressive amount of ash on the way back. It was very hazy both last night and today in Vegas, although not as bad as yesterday.
I'm sure we'll be fine in time for Saturday. My thoughts and prayers go out to the brave men and women fighting the fires, and to those who have lost their homes in it so far.
I live in So cal...fires are 20 miles from where I live...I'm not in an area of brush so all is well.It drizzled a bit over nite and is cooling off. Firefighters should get a bit of a break soon. Dang ash sets fires miles away. Can't make the M&G but I hope you folks have a blast and a half.
It's amazing how much smoke and ash we get! I was complaining about it yesterday, and then thought better of the complaints as I remembered the reality. I feel so sad for all of the people and animals that have lost their homes or are battling to save them.
It must be a frightening feeling to have to endure a situation like that.
My close girlfriend's little brother is one of the 'hot shots' who fights wildfires. I am saying a lot of prayers to keep him safe as well as everyone else over there, and to guide him in his mission to help others....
