Hello, Msgoodgolly, I'm from Phoenix, but I've been to Vegas. You might try both of these sites, to get some info. CheepoVegas is written 'tounge in cheek', but the info is very current. Vegas.com has good show/dining info. As where to stay, most of the strip hotels are pretty good to great. Bellagio and Venitian are 5 star.
