Do LE post your mugshot and personal info to the media if you get caught up in a sting in Las Vegas?

Not to overlook all the websites that capture this information that anyone who does an internet search on your name will see.

So if you find yourself in that unfortunate situation, be prepared to have that arrest record follow you around forever.

Fortunately, this has never happened to me but I was curious if this is done in Las Vegas.  This is done to johns and escorts in Maryland to shame them and cause problems for them.  Thanks for answering my question.

Is being banned from properties permanently. This could be a problem for locals. Once your are on one casino security watch list, fairly certain that data is shared.

Does this apply to just escorts or johns as well?  Don't come back treatment!

In the 17 years I have been here, I have never seen a "sting" were pictures were posted in media. Does vice do stings? Yes they do. But if you do your homework and stick with TER and P411 or 100 Proof and thinking with your Big Head and STAYING AWAY from Casino Ladies your chances of being arrested are pretty slim.

All the rambling of the folks above has me just shaking my head.

...about Nevada, but in California the conviction will still show up if you're applying for a job where a state license is required, such as a plumber, teacher or esthetician.

I'm not a lawyer; I know this from personal experience in trying to get a state license because I once shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.

I can just imagine getting barred from a casino over seeing hookers. That is one of the most ludicrous things I have ever heard on this board.

Now bringing cute blackjack dealers who work at the same hotel/casino back up to your room is frowned upon, but being put on a "blacklist" over getting caught with a hooker is laughable.

Hookers are banned all the time, but for a john to get 86'd simply for being a john, he would have to be someone the casino didn't want around in the first place.

The thought of me getting kicked out of a casino for being a whore monger is simply beyond laughable. If I were ever arrested for "solicitation" in Vegas, my first call to get out would most likely be my "host" at whatever place I happened to be staying. lol

Yes, they "can" bar you for whatever reason they want, or no reason at all, but johns only get banned if they have done something else to make themselves "undesirable"

Some cities go out their way to shame....it's really bad.

Luckily Las Vegas is not one of those cities. Sin city 😉

Once I was in Vegas with this guy and he got quite drunk at the tables.  I guess he called the dealer the "c-word".  (I know, a real class act, lol!)
Anyway they threw him out at 2 am, had security escort him upstairs to pack his things, and told him he was not welcome back ever.

Now if you are discrete most hotels won't bother you about entertaining an escort, but certainly they are capable of doing so if they choose.

i happened to google the real name of a vegas escort ... there were two arrest events for solicitation.   the arrest was posted as a matter of LE public record but no photo was with it.   and besides you would have to know the real name of the escort to find out.  and somehow i think only a few of the girls here use their real names ... imagine that!  LOL

well since the vast majority of TER gentleman only contact verified reviewed ladies i think there is little to fear.  just don't fall for that hot girl that approaches you in the slot area   :)

but that's not the same as getting banned for "being a john".

I've seen worse than what you described "up close and personal"

I doubt you are old enough to remember "Foxy's Firehouse Casino", it was across the street from the Sahara on the same side of LV blvd as the Sahara right across from the old "jolly Trolley" this of course was MANY years ago. This also was late at night and this drunk Vietnam vet with an attitude AND on a losing streak look right in the eyes of this cute little Korean dealer and told her right after losing yet another hand "I used to KILL people like you" in the coldest, most vile tone I think I have ever heard.  I think I was about 19 at the time, not even old enough to be gambling legally, but this of course was late 70's, I have never been in a fight in a casino before or since, but I hit that mother fucker just as hard as I fucking could and knocked him right out of his chair. Yes, they threw his ass out and not too gently I might add. As for me, a fresh drink arrived immediately and I was given the royal treatment and a round of applause from everyone at the table.

But no, I didn't get to sleep with the little cutie I had WK'd for. lol

I did reread Camper's post and I will concede that a non gambling local, "could" find himself persona non grata in a hotel if the only time he was there was to walk into a prostitution sting. I guess I was thinking of it ever possibly happening to me and that prospect was so ridiculous it had me LMAO.

Definitely don't remember Foxy's, lol.

Bravo to you for putting that creep in his place.

I agree that the chances of getting thrown out of a hotel for being a john are negligible.  But we should all be careful and discreet in general, that way we will be able to continue doing our thing.

Damn, I feel REALLY old all of a sudden.

The Jolly Trolley was a complete shithole, but they had one of the best Prime Rib dinners in all of Vegas once upon a time. It was $2.99 and as long as you tipped the guy doing the slicing you got a slab of meat that would do Fred Flintstone proud. lol

...It was originally "Foxy's Deli," one of the first integrated restaurants in Vegas.  My parents took me there as a kid.  It wasn't NY or LA, but it was a passable oasis of deli.

Back then I had a LOT of my meals at 3-6 AM. On my good nights I'd do the Lobster Fra Diavolo at the Chateau Vegas which was right across the from the Convention Center on DI and arguably the best restaurant in LV at the time. On my losing nights I'd do the $2 steak special at the Castaways which was located where the Treasure Island is now. Actually for five bucks, you could get the $2 New York steak, the 99 cent shrimp cocktail the 99 cent Spanish omelet and even after tax be able to leave about a 20% tip. lol

Ah the good ole days. lol

A guy like that, if he even WAS  a real vet (plenty of wanna-bes these days), besides being a loser, was more likely to be some frustrated REMF clerk, and not anyone who really saw combat. Dipsticks like that aren't welcome among most vets...

Re: Sorry about the double standard, but it's a reality

FWIW, I know of, or knew of at least 3 people (one is now deceased) who have been banned at certain establishments over the last 10-20 years (shows how little time I spend in LV, I will admit) . 2 of the 3 were solicitation related, but I had to do facepalms when I listened to their stories. It wasn't so much trying to bring ladies to their rooms, but the bone-headed way they dealt with it when confronted by hotel security. One of the clowns had been drinking too much and started claiming that everyone knew it was legal in Las Vegas! I had actually tried to explain that it wasn't legal in Clark due to state law. Of course, facts and reason don't always work with drunk idiots. He started screaming about "his rights" and soon found himself physically removed from the property. The other guy was equally clueless and just started bullshitting the security folks, which didn't help either. Seems there's a lot of ignorance out there, which of course is exploited by the various and sundry touts leading these sheep off to $300 HJs in local massage establishments...

Wasn't "Castaways" on Sahara and Las Vegas Blvd?  Right across from SLS (the old Sahara)?
