I am an avid shooter, and I've heard.... That there is a 1000 yd range just outside of 'Vegas. I've shot the Barrett MRAD in 300 winchester mag, and 338 Lapua, and the 82A1 in 50 cal (not as bad as you think). Unfortunately, the longest range in Nor Cal is 400 yards. I may not be able to see shit at 1000 yards, and I really don't care. I just need to say I pulled the trigger. Any ladies want to go? Cost of bullet included!

I really enjoy shooting, however I rarely indulge. Thus, my experience with sights is negligible, which makes my accuracy downright embarrassing. The last time I went, which was ages ago, I did manage a good grouping at least. Going to one of the ranges in Vegas has been on my bucket list. I think it's a great date idea!
that at any gun range here in the valley. You will have to venture out into the desert. There a few places up by Apex (north of the Speedway) were you can get 1,000 yards out from a target. At that distance please make sure you have a good back catch area for anyone or anything past that distance. I use a 22" bull barrel with a hot reload and a AIM 10-40X scope and can hit a full size silhouette at 1,000 no problem.
If you don't mind shooting uphill, yea you can there. Not bad range masters, but I would rather go to the desert. If you really understand ballistics, VGJ, (vertical gun jump after trigger pull), Maximum ordinate of the round, etc and like aiming well above a target to hit it, not to mention temp, load, bullet weight, etc, have fun shooting at something you can't see!! LOL
