I am more jazzed by the thoughtfullness of a gift than the expected donation. I LOVE IT. It makes me look at the hobbyist a whole lot differently, if they went out of their way to think of me at all, other than a white envelope. I have a tendency to remember those that do this sort of thing than those that don't. It's not that common (just speaking for myself) and I always go out of my way for them when they re-book etc. with me because of the gesture. Once again, just my personal opinion. I would like to ask a few questions and gifts in addition to tips from clients. Do provider’s like to receive a gift from a client? I was going to do something a little special for a provider and would flowers and a gift like lingerie (to wear while together) be acceptable? Gift cards? What are some good gift ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
How nice you are to think of doing that for her. While I LOVE receiving flowers, I would find it to be very difficult walking though a busy casino on my way out holding flowers and looking very conspicuous. Probably would be the ONLY time I might respectfully decline.
While gifts and tips are a pleasant surprise, just remember that we don't expect them. They are a very nice perk to the job however when they are received.
Many providers have a wish list or favorites page on their site that might give you a hint as to what they may like so take a look there. Sometimes they even include the sizes for you to shop for.
I always enjoy receiving my favorite candles and a bottle of a nice port to take home and enjoy later.
Gift cards to a top name store are always nice. Just remember she may be touring and if so, packing things up may be difficult and a gift card may be just the right choice. Make sure to find a store that she has locally or that she can use the gift card online though!
Well put Sara. I never kick a gift horse in the mouth.Gift cards work the best for me and others when given.I give them to family and friends for birthdays and Xmas time and ppl can just get what they want and remember you after they have used it wisely.
Andrew - I have given many gifts of all types to some of the very best women in the business. (Some have been very expensive and took a great deal of thought.) After I have gotten to really know them - several of them have said to me - "its all about the money". While gifts are nice - been my experience that the most desired gift is just more cash. They rarely appreciate the great amount of time that I spent picking out something very classy and special for them.

It seems some of the girls like to get gifts Like Sara and Jenny and some don't. I have no expectations if I do give a gift it is just my nature I guess.
If a gentlemen were to be so thoughtful as to take the time out to pick out a gift for me then why would I not appreciate that. Yes, cash is always good but those thoughtful moments where you have read or asked what I liked then going to get them without me asking is, shall I say a good moment and I will show my appreciation.
To the gentlemen whose thoughtfulness was overlooked..some ladies still enjoy chivalry.
It seems like a great many ladies post a gift section on their websites; and spell out what gifts they would like. I would tend to take their advice and get them what they like
