Ad posts will no longer be allowed on regular Regional discussion boards on TER please take note of these changes.

We have created new Regional sub-forums for provider ad posts only. Any provider ad post that is posted to the regular Regional board will be moved by the moderator to the Regional Ad posting board. Also, regular posts will not be allowed on the Regional Ad posting boards.

The ad posting Regional boards can be found in the same drop down menu as the rest of the Regional boards.

Please do not hesitate to contact the moderator of your board if you have any questions or you can contact the Staff by using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page or by Pm'ing the infamous FFP.

What's the point?  Now I gotta go to two drop down menus to see what's happening here?  Wah!  Makes me feel like a Republican, hating change!  Hehe.

I had stopped reading the discussion board because it was more of an ad board than a discussion board. Now we can find the real discussions about Las Vegas.

these boards are mostly morbid in the first place  with very little activty so this is going to the style of other boards (can't type the real name because the auto filter will likely kill it but lets just say if you travel to the CV of Cali you have to use this myrb site and TER has no traction there). Why not energize the boards in some other way? Did TER do any  focus group discussions prior to evaluating this change? Me thinks not and with TER  being the current big gorilla in the room (with these kind of changes that could erode quickly), then I question the decision makers at TER. Indeed, I would argue that the executive group at TER did not think this through or, if so and came to this change conclusion, are incompetent. But  I don't rely upon the subscription revenue and associated net cash flows to live upon so my opinion is meaningless. Let the owners of the site come forth and say, (maybe 6 months from now)  whether this change has increased their net cash flows. Of course they won't comment with respect to these issues but I think they made a big mistake.

The boards are basically dead anyway.  There is no discussion on Vegas board especially.  When there is, then someone gets it yanked anyhow.  Just the other day there was something going on between 2 providers, with posts from many different people.  All of a sudden, poof most of it was gone.  Without it, I would not know to avoid either lady...just from the drama involved.

This place is about as exciting as hurricane Irene.  Overhyped and plenty of letdown.  

Between the redesign of website, being over moderated, and price increase...  most people don't even want to be actively involved anymore.  Most people that I know just look for reviews, visiting lady ads, & some recent candid pics.

While I haven't found it to problematic when popping in on our regional boards to filter through ads vs. threads concerning Vegas, I can see the appeal to those who wish to only read ads, only participate in discussions or divide their time between the two boards.

I welcome the change and am about to help break in the ad board!

I think this change is bad.  Creating sub forums when the boards aren't active enough will not be a positive.  

... Just my own personal opinion ... I have a strong feeling that the Vegas board is going to go from declining to declined!!! With the NEW sub forum ... there can be no interaction when posting a weekly plug between the provider and hobbyist!!! I for one ... when posting NEW pics, NEW info, NEW specials, NEW phone numbers and or email adresses and etc would like the feedback ...whether it be positive or negative ... from the gentlemen and just to be able to have a back and forth banter!!!
      Obviously this decision was made for a specific reason?!? Could ya atleast fill us in on the the specific reason or reasons?!? Just curious ...

start posting some real discussions .

I think if everyone pitches in the board will come alive again.

Having the ads seperated is a cleaner approach,after all its a board to discuss various topics.

Instead of knocking the new set up how about contributing something for all of us to chat about .

Im sure we will all get used to it and look forward to whats to come in the future .

A topic that has absolutely nothing to do with the hobby.
