Any members who have an account at BACKCHANNEL (http://backchannel.proboards67.com) that use their TER password at both sites need to change their TER password IMMEDIEATLY because your account may have been compromised. Several users who have signed up to BACKCHANNEL using their TER password on both sites were hacked recently. We were able to track the unknown person(s) logging into TER and impersonating those members and accessing their personal information. If you have a membership with both TER and BACKCHANNEL, and used your TER password over there for access, you need to change your TER password immediately to avoid unauthorized access to your personal information.  You can modify your account information by clicking on the link below:

With all the adult boards out there, why would TER be interest or care about that one??

Seems to me awfully prudent, if you ask me.

Of course, people using same passwords and username everywhere are kinda asking for it...

Who said I cared? Up until a couple of weeks ago, Backchannel was just another board. We have no problem with our members visiting other boards, as long as TER is still one of them.

Just curious...I am not a member of any backchannel board but I got an email from TER saying someone had repeatedly attempted to use my login so I was told to switch my password. Were others on TER like me affected even if they had nothing to do with backchannel?  Plus, can't TER see the IP addresses to know who is an alias and who is posting from there own computer?

They don't need to see IP to know an alias. And anyone who uses a WiFi enabled laptop could easily hide - all they have to do is find an open WiFi access point and use it to do the nefarious things such as setting up multiple accounts.

The fact is some like to do this rather then having fun which is the real value of this hobby. They are not here for the entertainment value of the hobby - they are entertained by taking the fun away from others - there are sick people out there - so be safe, play safe, and especially find a way to have fun be the better part of what time is spent on this hobby - if it wasn't - I would quit.
