My opinion is that they will always be relevant. I was lucky to grow up with a much older sister who introduced me to classic rock at a very young age. I was listening to Zeppelin at age 7 and have been tned in ever since! One of my fave stations on my sirius satellite is classic vinyl, ch. 15.
The band Aerosmith is a Living Legend. Legends don't Ever lose relevance.

In MY opinion, Aerosmith NOW as to say, 'Get Your Wings'('Seasons of Wither' is a fav, link below) or 'Toys in the Attic' or even 'Dream On' is like comparing Van Halen to Van Hagar. Or Santana AFTER he did 'Supernatural'.
Don't get me wrong. They sold a shitload of records later on because they went mainstream. Which *I* think sucks. Took some of their artistic qualities out of their music.
Just appeasing to the masses.
I think when Aerosmith did 'Pump' was the beginning of the end for them with us old rocker fucks.
Sure, some still go to their concerts to hear 'Walk This Way' and 'Sweet Emotion'. But come on. Really?
Oh. And BTW. Zep lost their shit when they did 'In Through the Out Door'. Bet JB is STILL turning in his grave...
And if you have to ask who 'JB' is, I'll be severely disappointed. 
Now, you want to throw Jimi in there. He's definitely a god. And it's a goddam shame he didn't live on to his potential. But he never went mainstream. And his music to this day still hasn't.
HOWEVER, there is one band on the top of my head that has been around forever and is still pumping out great shit and that's Mick, Keith, and the boys.
