Credit cards leave a trail which can be bad for some people.

Most casinos will do cash advances on your credit card for an additional fee.  At least this way you open up the possibility of seeing anyone available that's willing to see you (alas, most of the good ones here that have reviews have some screening/referral requirements that take a day or so to complete).

Most agencies will take credit but the girl that shows up to your room expects (large) cash tips.

You can always cash some travelers checks at the casion cashier.

Some other girls were talking about it, but I can't remember who and I don't know if they ever followed through.....

As far as a paper trail, well only you know if your wife picks through every little aspect of your life.  Usually where guys get caught is the cell phone bill.  But if she is already doing that, the I would say that she is already suspicious.

Now granted, normally LE doesn't back track and go after the guys like they do the ladies.  But I could see some guys not wanting to chance it.
