I'm going out to LV in late October - would love to get some recs on steakhouses.  Which one also has the coolest bar?   I may end up scrapping getting a huge steak and do a few apps (it's hard to go out after a huge meal).  These are the ones I've been to:

Golden Steer - honestly this place has seen better days.  A bit dated.
Capital Grille - always a solid choice.
Boa - didn't think I'd really like it, but the steak frites was a good call there.

I hear the steakhouse at Bellagio and Batali's spot are good.

Which steakhouse has the most happening bar with good food?  Nothing worse than the happening spots where the food takes a backseat to the environment.

Thanks for your recs in advance.  This will give me a chance to day dream about my trip.

These would be my top 3 Steakhouses in Las Vegas

CARNEVINO: The best steak in town? The answer is simple. If you're a connoisseur of aged beef, order one of the 6-to-8-month-old, dry-aged beauties from Molto Mario's Italian steakhouse in The Palazzo.

DELMONICO:  If you're a carnivore your mouth can't help but water at the thought of bone-in ribeye steak, double-cut pork chop and Delmonico chicken-for-two carved tableside. The decor is luxurious with 12-foot oak doors, vaulted ceilings, a petite grand piano and beautiful glass French doors.

2. CUT: CUT is all about variety in a lineup of carnivorous delights. For a price, it will put before you three cuts of the best steaks in the world: A-5 true Kobe (Wagyu) beef from the Kagashima Prefecture in Japan; prime, hormone-free, corn-fed sirloin from Nebraska; and 35-day dry-aged beef from Illinois. Those steaks are presented in raw form first, perfectly trimmed, and ready to tempt you off that low-cholesterol diet you've been struggling with.

You can sit out on the patio and watch the fountains several times while you dine.  I've done it a couple times and it's a great environment.  Just make sure you make a reservation for the patio and you want to do it after dark or when it's not too hot.

Been there many times ...

I have to agree with Lorsha on this one (although i've never been there with her!).

I was killing some time at Treasures last year when one of the managers suggested
their steak house.

I thought he was just shilling, but it really was good.  Not cheap, but very good.

A complete surprise to me.  I thought it would be a ripoff.

Dunno if I'd say it was as good as some of the others mentioned here, but it
was as least as good (IMHO) as the steaks I've eaten at Ruths Chris' or Mortons.

I love the palms, so I'll echo Nine. But you can't go wrong with any of the ones mentioned. If there's one thing they do right in this town, it's steak.

I will give you guys and providers credit...as a whole you all like good places to eat.

A +1 for the Prime! Love that place.

Come on you really need yo ask this question. It's Vegas baby!!!! I've never had a bad steak in Vegas. All the Hotels and Resturants are going to do their very best to please you. Dollars may vary and how its prepared may change but they all do a fantastic job. It really depends on you. What you like. How you like your steak prepared and cooked. They do it just a little different then the other guy otherwise they would all be the same. So what are you looking for and what are your tastes? Whats the occasion or event? Will you dine alone or with someone? If with someone will it be intimate or do you want an outgoing place that has a swinging scene? Now go answer those questions and find your steakhouse. Because taking someone else's word for it may not fit the bill for what you are looking for in your steakhouse.

Del frisco's, on Paradise and Steakhouse, at Circus Circus.

Believe it or not, but Circus Circus's "The Steakhouse" is one of the best steakhouses in town.  Practically every cab driver will recommend this place and Zagat rated it #1 for steaks in Las Vegas for 2011.

For prime rib, not really steak, my favorite is Lawry's for Prime Rib.  It's off the strip but worth it.
