Ok, this will be my fourth party, and once again I am torn.  Do I pre-book an after party date, or wait to meet someone at the party? I've tried it both ways and it continues to be a hit and miss.  Once I pre-booked but had a slew of hotties asking me if I was "interested". Twice I went stag. One time I had to ask seven different girls before I found one available (for a really exceptional surprise), and the last time I wound up sleeping with the Hallmark myself (it snored).

And left alone. I thought that plenty would be there and available. Probably waited too long as too scout the situation.  
Almost happened but by then people were a little too wasted.  This time I am pre-booking. But who knows what will happen.
And if someone has extras...  Cool.. I can leave and come back .

I've usually made plans to leave with someone.  Especially since they often want to do their own screening even if you are at the party.  Then we can maybe find a third to join us.

However, once I got very lucky and left with someone I'd been wanting to see and she said she had never left a party with someone before.

Another time, I had a date and the next thing I knew I was with 5 girls after the party.  That was a birthday to remember.
