I've personally had no luck with cabanas.  Both times the curtains were closed the attendant came by and asked us to open them at two different hotels.  

Also be fair warned, on Wednesday our temps are dropping almost 20 degrees to the highs in the 60s.  Might not be too pool friendly for some LOL.
