Hello,
I found your post very interesting and possibly part of the problem I am experiencing here in Vegas.I have only been here a couple of times and tend to book ahead and try to be discreet. However since I have been here this time I have had four no shows. I think that a lot of people are inconsiderate and don't bother to send an e-mail and say they will not be coming. It is ok to cancel but is rude to just not show up. I would not do that to someone else, in fact I could likely be blasted for a no show. If anyone has any suggestions since I am new to the Vegas scene let me know. I am a very well know provider in Phoenix and my reviews speak for themselves. Call me or send an e-mail if you have any advice because I could use a bit right now. Sorry I am being so long winded;) Have an awesome weekend everyone;) Thank you to the all the gents who have been considerate - you know who you are.

Maybe we can definitively answer this once and for all:

Is it better to pre-set an appointment with a provider that you think is hot, or just wait until you get to town and take advantage of the fine talent in the hotel or on the strip? I hear both, but that a lot of guys ditch their original appointment because of the readily available talent that's ready to go on the spot. Since I'm not in the habit of standing up providers, I thought I'd find out first and then decide what to do.

Who can provide the pro's and con's of both? Are the providers truly that plentiful in the hotels? Are they as good or better than what you see on Eros? Which way are you likely to get the better deal?

Bruce has 5 hot Maids that to the best of my knowledge are available on short notice. I hear he has bailed out many from no shows.

and enjoy a preset appointment with one of the terrific Indies here, for a more likely "9" or "10" experience.
    Maybe a little more expensive than you could possibly find in a bar, but almost guaranteed to be much fuller service.....just for you!  How long since that gal at the bar had left the previous clients room, and how many has she been with tonight between baths.  Indies, with appointments, don't work that way.
   Nothing against the bar girls, they work hard too.....and, you could meet some good ones......it's just not how I spend that much money.

I have to agree with Quality Seeker.  I have had both experiences and the planned independent has always been the most pleasurable, even the lesser appointments.

The two times I partook of a "bar girl" have been very business like and not GFE, while I have always had GFE from the independents that I have seen.

To be fair, the bar girls were "spur of the moment" little head thinking instead of big head.  They were cheaper $$, but like many things in life, quality costs money.

That is a good point but why not call or e-mail to let a lady know? I don't mind because things do happened but an e-mail or call is nice so you don't have to wait.

No excuse for not e-mailing or calling. I've never stood a lady up, but have cancelled a few times....conversely I have been stood up before...even had one west coast lady call me 45 minutes before our appointment in DC, to tell me she was still on the west coast.....not as bad as being stood up, but not much better.....MfSD>>>>

Problem of what happens here -
Guys lose money gambling .
Guy picked up freelancer night before your appointment .  

Boss said to the guy that booked you-   you have  to go out to dinner with clients and then you have to schmooze clients at a strip club don't make plans for tonight !!
Guy thinks damm I had an appointment with an escort tonight , oh well what can I do my boss said I had to go  out with clients .........work before pleasure .

It's the guys first time with an escort and he got cold feet ........... ok dude whatever your excuses is I really don't care just be respectful of my time and call to cancel .

In Vegas you have too many excuses , which is fine ,  but at least call the lady up and let her know you need to cancel  so she can make other plans . It really isn't nice to flake and no show . Even if you have to call a minute before the appointment ...... Show some respect and call to cancel .

Yes I know providers do that too , ( although not all )  even the ones that have a good reputation ...........although  part of having a good reputation is calling a client if you need to cancel .

The only reason not to call is because you are in jail or in the hospital . That's my opinion .

Never do to others what you don't want done to you .

Vegas isn't the best touring city . I say it is great for a working vacation . You come  for some fun and oh by the way made some extra cash . If your trying to stack up money this isn't the place .

I find the bigger the convention , the bigger headache it is .

P.S.

to the original poster . personally I say best to plan ahead with a well known provider . Unless you enjoy trolling the casino for hours and taking a gamble on what you may get .
Can it happen that a well known provider may cancel or flake last minute  ?? yes it can happen .
Well you can have a few numbers handy of other well known providers and try to reach them last minute ( maybe someone flaked on them so they are available )
OR of course you always have the option to go hunting in the casino .

Many things happen especially in a place like LV that may lead to a cancellation.  However, there is no excuse for not notifying the other person.

Having been "no showed" before, I can say that the uncertainty of not knowing is the worst.  Is she just late? Is she coming but got lost?  How long should I wait? Did something bad happen?  

If someone wants to cancel then go ahead and cancel but don't be a no show.

Ahhh- two more times!! What is going on Gents? Do you not enjoy having fabulous ladies from across the nation visiting your city? Hmmm what should I do? Well there is always gambling, or the shows. Maybe I am missing something, ah yes the pleasure of a true gentleman's company. This is a favorite playground to be oh so naughty. I wish I had the opportunity to meet more playmates. Tsk Tsk  Think of the shame you have spread about your Sinful City by giving hobbiest a bad name. LOL

Always set up sessions ahead of time with the incredible indies here on TER ... If you want extra action because you just hit the mother load at the craps table then check out the bar scene.  Bar flies can be VERY hit and miss .. depending on where you are staying, time of night, conventions in town, and selection (what your really looking for may just not be out there).... ALL AGENCIES SUCK in Vegas ....

As for someome making the comment about bar flies not being clean and indies are .... well I've seen and been with many indies that don't take a shower afterwards before their next session ... Many will just take a warm wash cloth and a bit of soap and wipe their pussies .. my favorite is the lady that hops in the tub and tries to splash water on herself (that's a riot)...I don't think anyone would refuse them from taking a shower on their own time ... still many perfer to just splash and wipe ... and before I get flamed I know some guys aren't much better.

Not everyone has a wireless laptop to take with them so once there how would they send Email to you?

Sure they could at least call and cancel but if you look at it from their point they meet a gal at the bar, things happen fast and he forgets about you.

I don't say it is right but that could explain some of why you don't hear from them.

I am not a bar type guy so would not have that problem.  

To all you who use providers and make appointments, if you find you cannot keep it be nice and give her a call so she can book someone else, it is not differcult to do and you save face if you ever want to call her again.

I've toured Vegas twice. Last August and November. I didn't have any no shows but I also was not booked fully as I am accustomed to in other towns. However, I expected that and it was a "working" vacation. No worries because I had a blast AND met a really great guy who I date now when I visit. Lucky me.
Here's the question for you although I already know the answer. It was provided with maturity and common sense. I love to dance. Late at night I'll just go out on a Vegas lounge dance floor and boogie away alone. Usually not alone for very long. I guess I'm naive but it took me two trips out to realize that when I sat at the bar it was assumed I was a provider,,,,,,,"working". I never had to buy a drink. It was awfully tempting since I wasn't fully booked but I'd heard how many vice guys Vegas has. You just can't verify someone at a bar. LOL Any thoughts here? I'll be back Feb. 14th-18th but I've already made up my mind I won't ever do that. I would be interested in the hobbyist's and the independent provider's viewpoint here. Guys, doesn't it worry you that you may be hiring LE?

I don't think that LE hangs out at the major casino bars although you could get 86'd by hotel security.

oh Yeah LE hangs out at all major casinos picking up the freelancers .Sometimes guys , but mostly the freelancers.
If you are a girl sitting all by yourself right away you are labeled as an escort .

I know this one lady who was in Vegas with her BF . she IS NOT an escort . She had a fight with her BF and was sitting alone at the bar . An Undercover LE sat to chat with her , bought her a drink , he was cute , she was mad at her BF and a bit tipsy .she agreed to go to the room ...she didn't even talk money .....she got busted !!

Don't think ............ just know they are there .
Just because you hobby doesn't mean you know everything that is going on .
and yes also you run a chance to get 86'd by security .

I may be wrong about LE at the bars but do you really expect anyone to believe that your friend got busted by going back to the room with a guy who picked her up at the bar but didn't talk money?????  What law did she get busted for???

Just because you escort doesn't mean you know what you're talking about either.  This is total BS.  I think you need to get your story straight and stop trying to scare everyone who asks about working the bars.

My story is straight !!

She said she didn't talk money . The cop said she did  ( sorry I believe my friend , she has no reason to lie to me ) ...the cops say whatever they want and get away with it . If they think someone is an escort they do  and say as they please  .....they can take her down to jail .....that is call "getting busted" .

BUT , Was she ever convicted ?? now that is a different story .
No she wasn't convicted , case was thrown out of court lack of evidence . But the cops always assume that an escort has other law issues ( like warrants or worst ) and hoping to make some hell for the lady if they can't get her for what they want . ( prostitution ) "Getting busted" isn't the end of the world if you don't get convicted ........but it is a big headache to deal with .

Sorry hon but you don't know how the cops are  in this town . I do . Before the internet when we worked for the escort services we saw , heard lots of stories, expirienced  and learned a lot about LE .

my stories are true and from true sources . You don't want to believe  me , that's your problem . But it is what it is whether you believe it or not . The lady asked a question I gave my answer as I know as facts has happened .

Another true  story . LE were watching a lady for a few hours in the casino  . She was sitting at the bar and guys came and went from her table  .Finally  she picked up a guy , went to his room was down in 20 minutes and went back to the bar . Talked to a few others . and then decided to go sit at a slot machine and gamble . LE  observing this activity decide she is an escort and just make up a reason to hassle her .
. She is minding her own business and LE walks up to her , flashes his badge  and tells her to come with  them . She ask on what grounds they say they are 86ing her . Hotels are private property and they can 86 whoever they want . They took her downstairs .  while 86ing her  they also ran a back round check on her . She had a warrant and was taken in .

My point is LE has the freedom to do what they want and don't be naive to think they don't .
Have you seen the paddy wagons getting filed up by 50 freelancers at a time ?? well I have seen it while leaving my appointments . That is why I  don't  stick around  the hotels and freelance .
Not trying to scare anyone .
Why would I care if someone wants to work the bars ??

Go ahead work the bars , and god forbid if something happens don't say I didn't warn you.

Short story... a friend of mine went out to dinner by herself and afterwards went to the ATM to draw out money to gamble in the same casino and was approached by security during the transaction and was brought back to the "office" and was accused of having the intentions of picking up guys and was 86`ed when she was minding her own business and that was the furthest thing on her mind... it does happen!!! Vegas is a different place for women... they assume and ask questions later if they even give a damn to ask at all!!! It is a horrible thing to live here and not be able to go down to the strip with out of town girlfriends for fear that kind of thing would happen and be so humiliated and embarrassed just to be a "tour guide" for your friends... oh well...just my 2 cents...
