Some insight as I'm a provider but also in the swing lifestyle and wind up in these scenarios fairly regularly:
Whether you choose to go fffm or not depends what you are seeking from a session.

If you are looking for an intimate sensual experience - think gfe- I would recommend sticking to less participants (female or male I'm sure laying to any group)

The fact is that the more individuals involved the more awkward it becomes to coordinate who is fitting where at any given moment.  
Sessions of 4 or more are usually more like a pre - expect lots of moving about , figuring out your positions and enjoying each moment before someone decides to rearrange the group. It would not be uncommon to have the odd moment of falling around or something silly and awkward ha penning and all involved having a good old laugh!

Don't get me wrong groups can be GREAT fun I love them but for the most part I find them wild fun and more entertaining than exotic and sensual - though others may have different experiences.

So communicate with your partner what it is you are both seeking and go from there - have fun whatever u decide

I have done that many times.  I think its best!  Then all can play together and sometimes you can couple up next to each other.  Its so sexy!

I have done MFF and MMFF and MMMFFF, and MMMMMMMMM/FFFFFFFF and many other variations! Very experienced and love all the different combinations… but truly, you can't really plan it as it all comes down to the moment and the energy… that's why it's good to choose someone who can go with the flow and is experienced in these things!!!
