Both are very good. Good eatin'!

I'm looking for some input ... probably from some of the Vegas locals on this board about BBQ joints. Since a lot of review sites seem to have a bunch of paid shills giving places stellar reviews, can I get an honest opinion as to some of the better BBQ joints in town.

Places that smoke brisket, pulled pork and ribs. I try to stay away from national chains as they seem to be buying to much liquid smoke and calling it BBQ( Famous Daves...Chilis etc). Thanks in advance.

The one on Rainbow between Sahra and Charleston is much better.

There is also a Memphis Championship BBQ on Warm Springs.  I had dinner there last year and it was very good.

I recommend Lucille's BBQ restaurant in the District at Green Valley Ranch great ribs, have a bar, live band music(dont know what day that is),nice portions of food.Famous Dave's is nasty doesn't take like real BBQ.There is also a BBQ restaurant called T.K's or TC's Rib Crib up in the Lakes area.Hope this helps.jaydalee

Thanks a bunch. It gives me a great starting point. If I check out one a day next visit, I'll survive some how...maybe I'll find some ladies to take with me as I explore...

The Santa Fe Station branch is long gone.  No loss though.  I had tried to eat there once and was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait even though I could SEE open tables.  I told them to go to Hell and went to the Outback!
I wasn't impressed with the Redrock Casino Salt Lick the one time I ate there either.  Pricey and simply not that much better.  Just seems like another 'plastic' chain.

I got a table, and endured the overpriced bad food.  Since then, that location has become a couple other things.

The SF is in some serious need of decent food.

the BBQ sauce had so much vinegar in it, I sent it back. Then they got attitude so I told them to kiss it and left. I will never eat in a Salt Lick again.

Ellis Island actually has a good BBQ spot...people line up to eat there, "like ants at a picnic"...it's not a fancy place, but pretty tasty indeed!  People line up for the great prices and good BBQ.

Have fun!

I've been to many of the BBQ places. My all time favorite is Buzz BBQ. Best brisket I've ever had. Meaty ribs too!
