one of the perks of Spinners Mini Reviews is that it gives the populous a taste of a full review that is comming. If a member who is not paid reads a review such as this, he might be enticed to pay for a full membership and see what details wait inside.

The word discussion means many things. Such as this  

discussion

n 1: an extended communication (often interactive) dealing with some particular topic; "the book contains an excellent discussion of modal logic"; "his treatment of the race question is badly biased" [syn: treatment, discourse] 2: an exchange of views on some topic; "we had a good discussion"; "we had a word or two about it" [syn: give-and-take, word]

So Spinners "mini-review" is well within the description of a "Discussion". If you don't like it, simply don't read it.

As for Promo Ads for favorites, well dear it has been going on since the boards inception. No offense to BigPoppaPump, TallGuyDave (before he stopped posting) and the likes but they have been promoting their favorites for as long as they have hobbied and will continue to do so. That is all part of the game. (sorry guys, you were the 2 names that really popped into my head *wink*)

So get off your high horse and have some coffee, Spinner is probably one of the most active and respected members of this board and his input has helped many a hobbiest find the right lady in LV.

My Sincerest Apologies

I do mean that. I am sorry any of my comments were seen as out of line. There are times I feel some people are contrary and confrontational just for the sake of being that way.

Exatcly my point MOD, ALL I was asking was WHY a mini- review on a "discussion" board.  I didn't think it would trip so many triggers.  Thanks (I guess) to all who contributed to this "discussion"

Did I Miss Any Of This?

I go to Reno on business, come back and find my post, which was generally supportive of TER, deleted. I'm a little surprised.

The Vegans may have their disagreements here and there, but generally the people who post here care about the industry and are honourable. Consider all the folks here, male and female, with strong personalities, and we generally can respect each other, even if we don't agree with each other. I really enjoy the discussions here, and would not want to inhibit future discussion, especially when one perhaps does not know us as well as others.

If it were my board, I might have handled this differently. I also might have asked myself, "what would MichaelCA have done?"
