& since this is Vegas, preceding metaphor seems quite apt.

My concise advice to you : move on to someone else.

I actually have this happening now. The client is supposedly very intelligent, successful and has written multiple reviews on multiple boards. They screen as a normal good client would.
I tell him dates he specifically asks for others. We discuss non companion issues, a sort of life in general type conversation. And he just seems to be ADD, searching and speaking from one end of the spectrum to another without rhyme or reason. Finally he does take what I say and twist it, making the original intent of the statement irrelevant. He will literally change the context of a conversation completely around.

After him doing this on three successive emails I have simply told him we are not a good match and wished him luck in his search.

...then make an attempt to phone her and speak with her directly. If you still find in a, real-time, voice conversation that she is not attentive, not focused, etc., then you should move on.

Once I was texting back and forth with a tentative companion and I thought I was going nuts! Of course, that was giving her the benefit of the doubt, lol! Anyway, besides the problem you mentioned, sometimes texts get mixed up, sort of. She sent me three texts at once and I missed one of them and replied to the other two. The next text she sent sounded like she was upset that I failed to answer a question in the text I had missed. I finally figured that out, but for a few minutes, I was stunned. The questions I had missed were unusual too, I thought. She wanted me to describe myself physically. I.e.: height, weight, age, color hair and eyes, etc. I guess she had a good reason for those questions, but that was a first for me in communicating with a potential date.

Communication via e-mail being what it is, we all must be very careful in what we say, how we say it, etc. because others cannot possibly imagine your frame of mind when you wrote the e-mail, what voice inflections you may have that change the meaning and/or context of what you wrote. etc. In other words, one must be crystal clear when conversing via e-mail. So..........

Lets imagine you're looking at e-mails and you are trying to set up a date with a particular person.

You e-mail back and forth with this person and they keep twisting the information you gave them, they simply get information wrong or just don't read what you wrote back to them (i.e. - asking the same question repeatedly after it has been asked and answered).

Is this lack of attention something to concern yourself with?

Do you continue to try and make the date or not?

How would a date end up with a person like this?

Your comments are wanted, greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Usually if you keep asking a question in my experience anyways is because they are trying to avoid answering period. And a date usually doesn't happen because they purposely try to be very vague or evasive.  I usually nip it in the bud if I have to ask more than twice....there's no 3rd time.
