Yikes!!!!!

Thai Bhat was 34 in May and recently 27; that's a 21% decline in our purchasing power.  YIKES!!!!!

 

Does the same hold true for Korean and Japanese currencies?

Please check again. The USD is strong against most Asian currencies recently due to the US interest rate for US Treasuries. 1 USD is worth about 36 Thai Bhat, 148 Yen or 1340 Korean Won.  This is the time to travel to Asia if you have the time and USD.

The last time I was in Korea . . . .

visiting a retired Kgirl (pre-Covid), the won was about 1150 to the dollar, so our dollars are definitely going further lately.
