...the front of that huge building on that major street or having your license plate photographed, why don't you do what I used to do - simply park in the guest parking lot. It has the same code pad and you won't be lurking in front of that building where everyone on that busy street can see you. And you're fairly unrecognizable when you're driving into the driveway with your windows rolled up. No one can tell what your business is when you're one of many cars going in and out of the guest parking lot.
I don't think it is an issue being that guy in front of the key pad looking at his phone. Only another hobbiest might know what you are doing. I hobby during the day time between 10-3 and never felt like anyone is looking weird at me.

The bigger risk to me is having your photo and plate in this guy's hands, and this lunatic actually gets some attention and or token cooperation from LE, who decide to monitor these places for a period of time and see if any of the faces/plates he has show up. Then all they have to do is match you to your photo and follow you in. If that happens, your SO knowing you're a hobbyist is going to be the least of your problems.
Its like having a shark warning at the beach and a hundred people decide to go swimming anyway, figuring what are the odds. Then a shark appears and kills one of them. The odds are against that ONE being you, but if it is, you are 100% screwed. So my policy is to look for ways to be careful and make the odds even better for me that I'm not the one getting caught. If there are guys like you that are cavalier about the risk, then it gives me some comfort knowing that if I follow my safety protocols, I'm less likely to be the ONE.

Your point is well-taken, but I would add that hobbyists parking in the apartment garage guest parking in general should be aware that there may be CCTV cameras in the garage. These are routinely placed to stop crime in the garage (assault, burglary, hit and run, etc.) and unfortunately, also record the comings and goings of individuals. I suggest a baseball cap and keep your head down. Cameras are usually positioned from the ceiling.
If you're talking about the kinds of places that have a drive-up keypad, like I frequent in OC and SD, then this is one of the best options. Not sure about the five subject buildings that are being targeted in MW and WLA, as I have only used garage parking when instructed by the booker, and not for any of these particular buildings, so I can't attest to the layout or presence of CCTV.

I would be willing to bet any amount of money that the guys who were busted in Seattle and had their lives ruined also believed there was no way LE could touch them. LE may not want to take on a task like this from scratch, but if they are given photos of alleged hobbyists or cars that are showing up at multiple apartment complexes where they know or suspect prostitution, it makes the investigation much easier. Ones that are home all day often get curious about the steady stream of men coming and going. Others wonder why the cute Asian girls who live there have older white guys for boyfriends. Eventually, they figure it out and some will consider it their civic duty to call LE.
That's why on my "safety" thread of a few weeks ago, I mentioned that I never go to the door of an incall if there is anyone else in the hallway. You protect yourself and fellow hobbyists by protecting the location.
The thing you don't hear about much is the number of LA girls that have been busted, often from being reported by a nosy neighbor. Many touring girls are ex-LA girls that have to stay out of LA for two years until they get off of probation from a bust. Likewise, there are girls working in LA that are on probation in other jurisdictions, so they can't work there. That's how we ended up with some of the Seattle superstars.

If you're on probation for a bust you have to report to a probation officer in the city of the bust and not be traveling the U.S. If you have a visa you're out and a green card will be revoked. The traveling girls are not victims of a bust.

There are different levels of "probation", especially for misdemeanors. The biggest risk for these girls is getting busted a SECOND time in the SAME jurisdiction, in which case SOME the things you said would happen MIGHT be applicable, DEPENDING on how good of an attorney they had. Misdemeanors do not usually have travel restrictions and the probationers are often allowed to mail in a form to satisfy their check-in requirements. Others have to fly to the jurisdiction and appear in person. One of my outside GF's a few years ago, who worked LA, would fly to San Francisco during her period when she was off to check in each month. $200 same-day round trip, a pittance for a working girl. Consult an attorney and find out for yourself. I don't have time to educate you. Oh wait, that might be $50 and you would have to ask the next Kgirl you shill for a bigger discount. Lol

One thing neither of you mentioned is a foreign national who has been arrested for a crime usually has her passport flagged making even domestic travel VERY difficult.

in sanctuary cities, they cannot ask to see your passport in order to "flag" it. Anywhere that is not a sanctuary city, you are absolutely correct.
The travel restrictions you mention are usually only in place while the charges are pending. They are not allowed to travel outside the jurisdiction until the case is resolved. Once her attorney has gotten her a plea deal, the travel restrictions are usually NOT a condition of probation for a misdemeanor. Some are even allowed to mail in a reporting form to their probation officer. Others will have to travel back to the original jurisdiction at 30, 60 or 90 day intervals and meet with the PO in person in accordance with the conditions set by the court. Its ALL up to the judge and varies by INDIVIDUAL (and how good your lawyer is - lol).
All the major west coast cities from Seattle to San Diego are "sanctuary" cities, which means LE CANNOT inquire about someone's immigration status, so no effect on visas and green cards if Kgirls are arrested. Why don't you look stuff up or ask an expert before just talking out your ass about the law, a subject you obviously know nothing about. You're losing what little credibility for truth that you MIGHT have had with your few remaining acolytes.
