A "gray name" means he's using an alias.  You have to have VIP to use an alias.  He has 290 posts using his alias going back ten years.  That's only 32 posts less than you have.  As far as I'm concerned, you could be anyone.

 
You should familiarize yourself with TER.  There are NINE very acceptable reasons for using an alias:

the fourth person to post on this Kgirl board when it was new in 2013.  I'm not saying he's OLD, just that he's a veteran here with tons of experience.  (Lol)   He has more reviews under his username than he does under his alias.  I can attest that he has a very good reason for using an alias.  Although the original Captain Renault from the movie was ethically challenged, not so with OUR CaptainRenault.  He's a straight shooter and stand-up guy.  I believe he originally joined TER around 2008, same as me.

I'll second CDL's suggestion. I'm a regular of Cosmos and she's pretty comfortable with me now and has introduced me to several other girls.
