We used to get touring girls and overall they were all really good. Guys used to rush not only to be one of the first to see the lady but also one of the first to write a review.

 
We all know that the COVID era has been harsh on getting younger and new K-Girls has been limited so seeing a bunch of reviews shortly after a new arrival was not to be expected -- particularly as most were already well reviewed, experienced ladies who had toured the area many times.

 
We've started to see a light at the end of that tunnel. In particular a new K-Girl came to may area, and her first time here. Stunning is the word I would use to describe her and pure GFE (in the IOP/IOI sense). Playful, fun, creative outfits. Basically a "What's not to like" situation.  

 
She's been here over a week and has earned a total of four reviews. Wait, WHAT?! Just 4. Not too many years back she probably would have had 2-3 pages of good reviews.  

 
I'm not sure if it's just a case of others being like me a a bit over writing reviews, just a reflection of the damage done to TER from the down days and COVID times or something else. I am certain it's not a case of the reviews being reflective of level of business.

Either way, I do think this does put that nonsense, fallacious concept of a bad review being equal to few reviews. Now people for sureneed to write reviews to see who's who, meaning both bad and good reviews.

That was not really a complaint but an observation of changes in behavior so I don't see what my reviewing has to do with that really -- particularly since I've said many times on this board that I stopped reviewing because it's a pain in the ass on many levels so just not worth it any more.  However, since you think numbers/counts matter just put the numbers behind the letters in my handle and you'll find my other reviews.

So why was was it worth the pain in the ass before and now isn't?

 
Perhaps you could expand on why you are not writing reviews anymore, and maybe see how that reason corresponds with the general sentiment.

When did I say I think numbers/counts matter?  As a reminder, it was you, not me, who started a thread commenting on the fact that numbers are down.  So it was you, not me, who made numbers/counts an issue.

In response to your making numbers an issue, I merely pointed out that it seems an odd comment to be made by someone who doesn't write reviews himself.

When you suggest I reverse the numbers in your username, are you saying you have an alias with lots of other reviews?  Fair enough, but if so, it sound like those all must be old because you go on to say you can't be bothered reviewing any more.  Which means we're back to square one: a person who doesn't review any more (i.e. you) commenting that people don't review any more.  Perhaps if you explain why you personally don't review any more we can wonder why the numbers are down.

Why explain what's been said many times in the past, and you know that rocket.

 
So to address the semi-new questions. No, just because something has become a pain in the ass to do now does not mean it always has been. Why has it? Part been there done that. Part little added value if I'm not going to put the effort in and just give a pretty vanilla account. Part due to the increase in claims that good reviews are not valuable or fake or inflated to help the provider.

 
While it is true in the case that having only four reviews during a 2 week tour caused her not problems that is in fact part of the point being made in the post. Before that most certainly would have been an indication that one would be better served seeing other available providers in the area. So no, this is not some evidence to support your claim the old way things worked here was not true as you claim.

 
What's not as obvious is why a good provider, who was getting a lot of business, is not getting more reviews written in a market that used to have a clientele that would rush to spread the news of a good thing. But I think a lot of people here have stopped writing reviews for various reasons. I suspect this might go along with the reduced level of posting by them on this board as well.

I don't really remember the reason you stated for not writing reviews, and I'm sure many also don't. So I think repeating the reasons, especially in the context of you asking "what happened" in this thread might make the discussion more productive.

 

For example, when I stopped writing reviews during covid because of covid and me not seeing any working girls during covid, I stated it multiple times and I was happy to repeat it.

Tbh I haven't seen any of this. Not even I said this. I always said that negative ones are more valuable imo, but honest and accurate reviews of any kind are valuable. I don't see how truthful or accurate reviews are ever not valuable, and they cannot be "fake" by definition if they're truthful, accurate and there is no conflict of interest.

Well, at the very least it suggests that right now, lack of reviews doesn't mean anything like what you've claimed it meant before. So people can't just" speak nice or don't speak anything at all" anymore. You don't get implicit indication anymore that someone with few reviews and who's been here several weeks must not be of great quality.

So, I'm not sure what those reasons are. But I assume part of it is that they don't go on TER anymore and just peruse back channels to discuss/review girls?  

This would make sense, and it would be, unfortunately, bad news for noobs who look for accessible public info and feedback on the girls.  Imo when everything is done thru back channels, noobs and people with limited experience are the owns who get hurt the most.

Interesting that after I made the post the number of reviews have increased greatly -- and by handles I am not familiar with from the "old days" (first few are). Looking at the General details seems that everyone is quite happy with her and giving good reviews (non-VIP so don't see the scoring of real details).

So was Uncle Rocket right or what?

I would not jump to that conclusion as I don't know how many of the reviews were already in queue waiting for approval or just on a need to do this list by the reviewers. Not like I kept checking the reviews -- was only when I saw she was back much sooner than I ever expected that I took another look.

 
If I were to infer something from the observation, it would be more along the lines of why she changed her mind about returning. Initially she said she didn't know when she might come back once her 2 weeks ended. I missed her last day and asked the agency if they were planning on getting her back sometime. No commitment there (unsurprising) but maybe later in May. I think two days later she was listed on their site again. I would think the increased reviews, as all appear to be positive and reinforcing the original few, might be the proximate cause to explain that apparent reversal of things.

Well, it was half joke, but fact is this happened. Of course, correlation does not imply causation

 
With that said, I think many would be surprised how much a mongers word can hold. We have the so-called "influencers" nowadays on social media, and many mongers have that power in monger-related sites. Hence why I'm so anal about making sure this power isn't abused and misused for moneymaking. Shills can literary bring in thousands of dollars off deceptive tactics.

Ie, what the girl decides to do because of reviews - no matter how extreme - should have no bearing on encouragement to write or not write reviews. That imo shouldnt ever be an incentive. Because then, it opens doors to mongers being manipulated.
