I was wearing a condom, but it didn't extend the entire length of my penis.  A small area at the base was exposed, and that's where the infection entered.  Lots of blisters in that spot.  The symptoms were obviously herpes, but I got tested to confirm.  (The initial swab test was negative, but it's not unusual for those to be false negative.  My doctor had me wait two months and then take a blood test. That was positive for HSV2.)

I believe I contracted it back in mid-August.  I'd been on a binge and saw multiple girls at multiple agencies in the two weeks leading up to outbreak, so I can't be certain which girl gave it to me.  Needless to say, I've retired from hobbying.  It's going to create some other serious problems for me as well.

a handful of others that were courageous enough to make a statement like this.  I know one of them personally and his marriage dissolved as a result because he gave it to his wife before he knew he had it.  With that said, this is an occupational hazard of being a monger.  There are often threads here talking about risks, mostly relating to BBFS, but as you have recounted, you can go covered and still be exposed.  P2P is risky at well.  I was always amused that back in the day almost every girl did P2P slides but would not do BBFS.  I think most of the guys here know about the risks and have set a risk-tolerance level for themselves.  I used to take many more risks than I do know.  

 
Just like the "shower preview" is really for the girl to make a short-arm inspection for signs of infection or disease, our time to make a similar inspection is during DATY.  Most infections have a visual component, but that's only going to help you if it's on the outside.  If it's inside, there is no way to tell until it's too late unless there is a smell or taste component.  

 
Nevertheless, ASSUMING your claim is legit, thank you for doing the right thing and retiring from the P4P scene.  I haven't had herpes, but I have had other short-term STD's from providers, and I always inform the girl and then put myself on the bench until the antibiotics have done their job.

I thought long and hard before posting my story.  I'm a very private person.  I'm not the type to blast my woes on social media looking for sympathy, or based the narcissistic assumption that people will be interested in my experiences or thoughts.  In other words, I didn't post looking for attention.

Nor did I post out of anger or spite towards the providers or agencies.  I knew the risks and assume responsibility for them.  This predicament is totally on me. I hold no ill will or resentment toward the women.

So why did I post?  I posted as a cautionary tale.  As you pointed out, lately there's been a lot of discussion on the boards about the risks of BBFS.   It seems like few people appreciate the risks even with condoms.  Sure, people will often caveat their statement by saying even condoms aren't 100% effective, but those caveats often come across as perfunctory and lacking conviction.

With that said, I don't expect (nor would I want) people to stop mongering.  I appreciate the power and lure sex has (thanks to our evolutionary programing).  I don't believe in sex addicts, but if they are real, then I'm definitely one.  Also, literally every thing in life has some degree of risk -- so it's not a question of  avoiding risk with sex or any other activity, but a question of risk tolerance (which will be different for every individual).  Bottom line, I just want people to realize the risks even with condoms are very, very real.  Make sure that's given its proper weight in your personal risk assessments.

If I'm writing this as a cautionary tale, someone may ask why I don't name the provider so that others can avoid her.  That's a legitimate question.  If I was relatively certain of who I contracted it from, I might name her.  But due to my lack of certainty, I don't want to besmirch anyone who could be innocent.

It's possibly that it was dormant in you for several years, maybe?  As Kgirls do the inspection preview of my d1ck in the shower, I like to do the DATY inspection myself for anything unusual.  In the past, I found 3 girls with warts, but never saw any sores.  For those, I suddenly had an work appointment that I NEEDED to get to.  HA!

I typically don't engage in DATY, so it's possible the woman had blisters and I missed them by not inspecting closely enough.  However, I've learned that it's possible to transmit herpes even if you have no current outbreak.  In other words, when you have no visible signs you're less contagious, but you're still contagious.  Which is another important caution for mongers: lack of visible clues doesn't necessarily mean you're safe.

For me, DATY is good way to get a good look and smell of the Y, prior to the deed.  I generally don't spend a long time there, sometimes I do, but not always.  Most BB, and some openly BB.  These girls will do 6-10 guys a day, if you're a germophobe, f*ck me.  No judgement, but a basic check is prudent.  If anything looks off, then you forgot an important meeting at work, even at 7PM.  Earn an Emmy Award for your performance out the door and leave the fee.  Believe me, they don't give a shit.  Free money to them.  They are all about the money and play off our hubris.  Think of it as, "How much would you pay now, not to have ..."  BTW, I think the herpes more common then you think.  Chin up buddy.
