Just read a review of a longtime favorite, and the reviewer said her English was very limited. I know for a fact, going back a few years, it was good then. So, I'm thinking she played the limited English ploy because she didn't like/or want to communicate with the guy. Said he had a bad session too, bad chemistry because of the language barrier. She is known to give pretty good sessions for most of the guys; well, nobody is perfect all the time^^!
In some cases in the past when I first saw a girl English was limited but sometimes seemed to improve over the session, or in the next session. I've also seen reviews like you mention, where the guy claims the girl speaks no or very limited English but when I've seen her communications where fine -- not fluent but the entire session could be done without a translator app break (post sex pillow talk might get into some subject area where the vocab might not be standard tourist or small talk stuff but plenty of subject areas where I need to pull out a dictionary to know what a word means so...)
I've generally assumed it was more a safety/control or "distance" tool. If someone is asking for something they don't want to do easier to act like they don't understand and hope the guy just moves on rather than flatly denying the request or a way to keep talk from straying into anything more personal so keeping the interactions at a professional level. Perhaps odd, but some of my best session have been with girls that (I think) really did have more limited English so we had to work on alternative ways of communicating ideas - not translators but acting things out, describing in very simple terms. Seemed to have brought down some of the defensive walls and added more intimacy to the sessions. Seems like some people can only focus on the glass being half empty and completely loose sight of half full part or than they can actually start filling the glass with something they like many times. Shrug.
Honestly, I was told by an Asian lady I met, now retired, when a guy walked in she either spoke little English or perfectly well. Odd thing, she was born here. She said that some guys you can just sense you want to get the deed done and push them out the door. Doesn't mean she'd do a bad session, just wanted to move on quickly. Yes, she was one of those that could get you to come with a HJ/BBBJ even when you thought you couldn't. Others were gentlemen, fun to be with, the hour was not a chore. I'd say that "tool" is a bonus for Asian girls being able to use language or lack thereof during a session. But like you mention, you've known her for a long time and now she feels comfortable with you which means the convos mean something to her also.
Chemistry takes time to develop though. The decision to speak little English comes in the very beginning before we even get a chance at chemistry. Feels like a book and cover and judging type of deal here.
There are even kgirls who refuse to see Korean clients in particular simply because they don't wanna talk to them in their native tongue.

That's kind of funny about the girls not seeing Koreans because of the language. I always heard it's most likely because of a recognition thing, whether back in Korea, family and friends, or in Ktown. And M.E. with them, limited but improving Korean, almost always raises the comfort and chemistry level.
Also, about Korean and Asian men, heard the way they treat the women, maybe disrespectful and slave like, was a turn off too! So, not saying all of them are that way, but sometimes it only takes one or a few and it's best to not take a chance and do a total block. The other side is there are girls that see only Asian men. Go figure or take a poll between Rd 1 & 2^^!
I don't think the Don't see Koreans policy was ever about not wanting to speak Korean. I think it has always been about the fact the Korean communities around the US (and other places) are pretty tight-knit so it's a bit like living in a small town where everyone knows each other and some are always talking about what someone else is doing.
I think kgirls who don't want to see Korean men, just don't want to interact with them. I'd also remember what was discussed here about native speakers being able to tell if a girl is from NK from her accent.
As far as Asian men treating women slave-like is weird and first time I ever heard this . From what kgirls and mongers told me, as much as over 50% of their clientele is Chinese dudes. So I never heard of Asian or Chinese men being excluded. AA, obviously. Sometimes Indian and Mexican. Sometimes Korean. Never heard of Chinese or Asian in general being a no-go. That seems like a debilitating move to cut off a major chunk of your paying customers.

Part of the fun is talking to these KGirls. I’ve been very lucky to see KGirls who really like talking to me. Sometimes it’s limited but not as limited as my Korean. We get by. If I really need to communicate with them…I like GFE or No rim (no play with my asshole) I use online translator.
