I saw this 5'4" k-girl today and saw her struggling in high heels. I commented on that and she said she never wears it outside of work to which I responded that she shouldn't be wearing them for her dates by default, unless asked, because guys usually prefer girls on the shorter side anyway, especially as it pertains to Asian chicks. She said that she thought the exact opposite was true.
I'm not sure given you're asking about individual preferences and I suspect a number of other are like me and will have a different answer depending on mood and girl.
I generally like a woman that is shorter than me but have to say that there is something really enjoyable about have a woman with long legs (so often will not be the shorter type) that can really wrap them around me during sex. Shorter women often have legs that are too short to do that as well.
Obviously tastes differ, and you're right it depends on the mood and the girl, but if she's 5'4" with an ok legs would you prefer she stays 5'4" or wears high heels and goes up to 5'7" or even 5'8"? Especially being an Asian girl.
What I was trying to impose on her is that with her height and her legs she'd be better off being shorter than taller from 'our' general perspective. Unless she has absolutely amazingly shaped legs and is steady on high heels which she wasn't. But even then at 5'4" and an ok legs what would be your take on default? Let's say she has client that she never saw before, whose tastes and height she's not familiar with, should she wear high heels or not? I'd say no, unless she's specifically asked to do so. Just fyi, I myself asked through the booker for her to meet me completely naked. My comment was in relation to her getting ready for her next date.
They are ruinous to feet (I love feet), and don't do the back any favor either.
They are also a money sponge, and I find nothing esthetically pleasing about them to start with. What SUVs are to motorized transport, high heels are to footwear.

Specifically to your advice to her, I like short Asian girls to wear very high heels if willing and steady. That's the thing. She wasn't steady in high heels, and her legs weren't the best part of her body (she gets you with her tits, face, skills & personality). At 5'4" she isn't short short already you know. She dressed up for her next appointment and asked me what I thought. Something felt wrong and after thinking it over I saw that her legs looked a bit crooked because she wasn't steady in high heels.
I probably should've done what most would probably do in my place - give her the world-famous American suburban housewife smile, say: "you look wonderful!" and walk out. Tall, petite and in between and none of them ever had a problem moving, dancing, on stairs, fucking, kneeling, well you should get the picture. Make your request or let them do their thing and if they tower over you, I'm sure they will remove their shoes and adjust to the client unless the client says to leave them on! on the Westside about 9 years ago. About 5-9 barefoot, over six feet with heels. Slender, but with nice curves. She was the first girl I reviewed on TER after switching my username to CDL. After that first review, she was a regular of mine for about 6 months. Tall girls with that much energy are hard to find.

a short girl is better in CG because their legs seldom get in the way. Taller girls sometimes look awkward in CG unless they have a long body and shorter legs.
