I've been away for a while and learned that a local board disappeared, so did the K-girls.  Any K girls left in the city?

Antarctica was enjoyable, but clearly, you missed a lot.  Lol

There was a huge LE bust in Seattle that involved the arrests of org owners, Kgirls, and several hobbyists associated with the board of which you speak.  Many of the girls who were in Seattle, some of whom even have their own apartments there as their permanent residence, are traveling to work in other cities.  Many have been in LA/OC/SD/DC/Philly/ATL, etc., over the last several months.

Search "Seattle" on this board going back to January and you will find a few threads discussing it.  The threads  that named girls, the other board, etc., were removed by admin.  There are also general news articles available on the internet from Seattle news media that you can google.

there are ANY or not, perhaps a few re-emerging, but it's not what it was last year.  The org I was approved with up there was one that went down, so I don't have any way right now to get intel on the ground except for the few Kgirls from there that I have phone numbers for.  I have seen a couple of Seattle girls in SoCal since January, and most still seem scared to work up there.  For the Kgirls caught in the bust, it was mostly a catch-and-release, but if they get busted again in Seattle while they're on probation, they will do some jail time.  Most will work out-of-state for the next year or so.  At least that's what they're saying at this point.

Or the circumstances leading to Seattle's wrecking were particular to Seattle?

in Seattle.  It was precipitated by a bunch of hobbyists forming a "Kgirl club" where they would meet for lunch once or twice a month IN PERSON and trade intel on various girls.  They had a dedicated Seattle-based website where they would review and rate the girls. An undercover vice cop infiltrated the group, and had evidence against all of them which could be connected to their online activities since he knew their real names and their online handles.  The hobbyists were charged with "promoting prostitution", their real names were published in the local news media, and their lives were ruined.  Many f the cases have not been completely resolved yet.

I met a Kgirl recently who was an indie who lives in LA, and last year got busted, so now she is with an agency in another county and regrets trying to do her own screening, which led to the arrest.   She is still on probation so can't work LA county.  So LA does not have the circumstances that led to the Seattle bust, but there are still girls who don't do a proper screening being arrested randomly, but not part of an org.

The takeaway for all of us from what happened in Seattle is NEVER meet with other hobbyists where you are depending on someone else to vet them to keep YOU safe.  I have only met in person with trusted hobby-friends a few times, only with one person at a time, and only with guys I have been trading intel and PM's with for a few years with enough detail for me to determine myself that they are legit and not LE.

I thought the bigger thing was being so public about it. Going out to lunch/dinner and talking so loudly about their arrangements, the girls and the sex -- including details and rating the girls. Really. What did they expect.

I suspect if it had just remained the board and private encounters LE would never had much interest but between the public indiscretion and a few complaints about activities are a couple of rental units....

the public behavior of the hobbyists that caused the whole thing to come down.  They took a few orgs and many girls down, too, and that is why Seattle is a Kgirl ghost town this year.

Anyone else surprised that the K-girl trade in Seattle was run by white guys?

Korean-Americans that were born here and fluent in both languages, or retired middle-aged Kgirls that have learned to speak English fairly fluently.

emember the busted organization had an active chapter in LA who also met regularly. Either they did not behave as badly in public or more likely LA does not have a moralistic crusader DA and Sheriff with a political agenda as was the case in PNW. So I do not think a widespread witch hunt in impending. The politics were local. The authorities announced the bust with fanfare and spouting about trafficking but since they had no evidence of such they charged "promotion of prostitution" which up there is a second degree felony.
Anyone with knowledge of the outcome of the trials ?
