Time-wasting, especially with bookers. Bookers have a sixth sense about who the time-wasters are. If the first booker pegged you as a time-waster, you don't get a response, even though you provided all of the information. The second booker probably sensed you were a time-waster, so he/she called you out by giving you an appointment time, which you didn't take, thus proving to the booker you're a time-waster. You'll be lucky if the second booker responds again. There are so many time-wasters out there that many bookers now are giving you a time, and will THEN check your refs before the appointment time, but AFTER you have accepted the appointment. If there's a problem with the refs, they will cancel you. If everything checks out, you are good to go and they made sure you were not a time-waster before doing the verification. If you ARE a time-waster, and don't take the appointment, they just saved themselves the time it would take to verify you.
There is no reason to be suspicious if . . . . . .
1. Its a girl you know from another city.
2. The phone number is searchable on TER (bookers recycle phone numbers to new girls).
3. The girl has reviews from reviewers on TER that you recognize.
4. If there are no reviews you can come to this board and ask if anyone has seen her yet and knows she is legit. (You could have included the second girl's name here in your OP, and someone might have already responded that they have seen her in LA --- You should also not be time-waster when posting here --- give complete information if you want help from the board).
I appreciate that you want to be careful, but the last thing you want is to have your name circulating among LA bookers as a time-waster. That's a moniker that once you are tattooed with it, its hard to shake off. Bookers will not hesitate to warn other bookers about time-wasters. You should NEVER contact a booker for any reason until you are ready to set an appointment.**
