So basically there's a multitude of factors, I'll just do quick bullet points. My colleague did a similar topic as his sociology PhD. Dissertation so here's the gist:

     [*] The society nowadays has higher toleration, the concubine of an elite is valued more than the wife of a commoner.

     [*] Fresh talent is trained and traded among the Chinese elites at NBA/MLB rates.  

     [*] The ratio between Chinese male and female has become radically discombobulated.  

     [*] The Chinese industry has become extremely streamlined and efficient, with certain cities achieving global status.  

     Moreover, locally speaking
 
     [*] It is harder to come to the US as a Chinese citizen on any visa.

     [*] The Korean has a long history of providing top services that predate back to WWII.

There are some cultural differences that make providing much less appealing to the better looking Cgirls to get into the biz.  I've tried many Cgirls in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Europe and the U.S. and none comes close to the caliber of our Kgirls.  The girls with the good looks and figures can easily get into a sugar daddy relationship that is much more discrete and more acceptable in the Chinese society.  Most of the working girls are from poorer parts of China without the looks and prospect of hooking up a sugar daddy.  

In SGV, the city of Arcadia is sometimes known as the the mistress city.  You see lots of good looking mid to late 20s and even early 30 something women driving MBZ, Porsches, and Maseratis and wearing designer outfits and expensive handbags but no ring on their fingers.  That's because their wealthy Chinese sugar daddies live in neighboring San Marino and set them up in their own little McMansions in Arcadia.
