Haven't checked in for a bit so I'm late to the party. My problem with the other site is that they don't show any desire to correct wrongs. I know that fraudulent reviews happen and sometimes will get through. My experience with the other site is that for some reason they either don't care or have other ulterior motives. I noticed the profiles of 2 different girls get combined with other girls with similar names and alerted them of the mistake. I was 100% sure of the mistake being made because in one case I had seen each of the girls and knew for sure they were not the same person and in the other case the said provider was combined with someone in the Bay Area and she has never worked in the Bay Area.
Both of my requests to correct the mistakes were denied without any explanation. Because of this and seeing the ancient and fraudulent reviews being accepted and posted I decided to quit posting reviews on there. In the long term I felt that supporting a site with little quality control was not good for the guys or the girls. Then to my surprise I found out I was banned.... For what reason I do not know nor care because I had already decided not to support them with my reviews or participation on the df. While no site is perfect I need to be able to believe that they are doing all they can to weed out fake reviews and false information .... Yet another low for that morally bankrupt site. They are the classic under achievers who set the bar low for what they will accept as a review, then consistently fail to achieve even that.
Like some others, I once believed I could help there by both posting honest reviews and pointing out the erroneous reviews and reviewers in their midst, but they banned me for my effort. I guess when your entire business model is based on dated and stolen reviews, the last thing you want around are credible reviewers pointing out what a failure you have become.
With its consistently fraudulent and dated reviews, it's motto shouldn't be
"you wrote it, it's yours!" but rather,
"We're desperate for reviews and we'll accept anything so please, PLEASE post your fraudulent and dated reviews here.
After all, it ,may not be good enough for TER or anyone else, but it's certainly good enough for us!"

thats why you look at several reviews here at ter alone or other boards together and look for an overall avg score. instead of relying on few good or bad ones.
you look at enough reviews and you can weed out the shillers or trolls. part of becoming an experienced hobbyists.

Half a loaf of bread is not the same as no bread at all. Of course they're are some fake or shill reviews on all sites, but that other site is distinguishable in having no review standards. You have guys posting 3.5 year old review that are allowed to stand. Do you think a review like that would survive on TER? You've got guys posting between 10-20 reviews a week for over a week straight that go unchallenged. Do you think that would happen here?
Rather than telling us about your experience, then parading your ignorance for all to see, you should show some experience by exercising the quality of discernment. That way your statement will reflect they quality of experience and you won't need to remind the people here you have some.

All fake/shill reviews should be discouraged. While you can never design a system that stops all fake/shill reviews, TER has created a quality control system intended to limits the damage. The other site has not only made no attempt to limit the damage of fake reviews, but has actually encouraged members to repost old reviews as new (in their own words, "you wrote it, it's yours") and have gone so far as to offer money for reviews from members.
They have allowed their review system to turn into a playground for owners attempting to damage girls who decide to work elsewhere, or to write multiple reviews under multiple handles to pas their business. Once again, what distinguishes them is not that they invented these practices, but that they actually encourage them as long as it leads to more reviews on their site. They then ban members who identify these practices for fear their entire corrupt system will be exposed.
They are entirely focused on building a larger review database to the exclusion of any standards at all. To use your example, both posting 2 fake reviews a week and re-posting a review from over 3 years ago are problematic and corrupt the system. TER has systems in place to limit such things, but no such system exists at the other site. Not only that, but they ban members who have the temerity to point out such corruption within their system.

That makes sense. His instinct to change the topic to one of IQ rather than addressing the topic of fraudulent reviews on that other site did seem emotionally unbalanced and deeply insecure, but I thought perhaps he was just off his game when he posted that and hey, we all have bad days. Now that I know he's a long standing troll on this DB, I can move on to a serious discussion with serious people.

It's quite obvious that TER expends a great deal more effort in trying get rid of any misinformation regarding reviews, than the other site. For you to pretend otherwise, in my view, is analogous to equating a guy saying to his SO, that 'no, those jeans don't make your butt look bigger,' when he thinks they actually may, to a known pathological liar. In other words, it doesn't sound like there are many, here, buying what you're trying to sell!
pirated reviews. It may or may not be the sites fault for allowing the review in question to go up, but once proved to be plagiarized, it should be taken down immediately. If it is brought to their attention and ignored, then it is wrong.
All review sites get fake reviews. TER has had many and similarly plagiarized from other members. They cannot always be stopped, but what counts most is what happens when they are proved to be fake. TER will act appropriately on them.
No matter which site, credibility of said site could be on the shoulders of the review database. Break the legs and the shoulders will fall.

We have a site that openly rewards false reviews, so that is what they collect and perpetuate.
Those who ignore the influence of the site in rewarding fake reviews and focus instead on the reviewers are covering for fraud, which makes them a fraud as well.

Returning to the OP intent of this thread, the site in question clearly is making no effort to correct errors and appears to tacitly support them. While TER may not be perfect they at least clearly attemp to correct errors.
The opinions on this thread have been hashed and rehashed to death. Isn't it time for the Board Administrator to step in and call it quits on this thread?
Probably not. They would rather keep it in this forum then to have it spill out onto the LA board. Throwing out a rotten apple has always been the best way to keep the entire bushel fresh.
Aside from the stool pigeon this thread has been an informative one, but it has probably run it's course and will die off on its own.
I know there are many of us who don't post often due to a "few bad apples", and would like the ter mods to keep them from trolling these boards. I think it would be a win-win for TER if they did this. It would encourage more guys to post and engage discussion with more veteran hobbyists.
I wanted to make sure that my OP was clear in that my example was but one example of fraudulent behavior by a-f-x. I have seen well known established ladies and other less known girls and heard their frustration with how difficult it has been for them to work with a-f-x to remove false reviews. TER has proven willingness to listen to a provider when reporting false reports, and TER removes those reports when the proof is demonstrated.
So, really maybe this OP should be a warning to hobbyists not only to not trust the other site's reviews, but be really careful because who knows what their motive for promoting false reviews might be. Couldn't some nefarious person use a-f-x reviews as a way to create a seemingly great review for what may end up being a trap?
Frankly that scares me. I don't want to get mugged, nor meet leo.
