Good morning!

I am going to be in Japan for 10 days in October for the Formula 1 Japanese GP. Has anyone hobbied in that neck of the woods that would be willing to give me some advice?

The GD board.  There's a lot of guys there that hobby internationally.  It's not likely someone will suggest a Latina indie in Japan.  Lol

Where will you be (closes major city)? There used to be more activities near the major US military bases but I think that locals have tried to crack down on that.

... in responding.  Glad you enjoyed the link.  Metal really isn't my flavor as well but Aldious was visually stunning and technically proficient.  Recommend checking-out "Real Existence" by BAND MAID--you'll immediately see the appeal/gimmick.

To answer your question: it appears Japan and South Korea are equal in terms of manufacturing, maybe even more so in Korea.  In Japan, Johnny's Jimusho has cornered the boy band managerial agency market while producer Tsunku (and former lead singer of Japanese rock band, Sharam Q) has got the majority of the girl group market.  SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment are the big agencies in Korea.   Check out the link below for insight into a South Korean pop group's life as well as modern K-fashion/pop culture:

1) in tokyo theres the RLD 'Ikebukuro" in Shinjinku area.  
2) TER used to have a Asia section and there was one guy who went Tokyo all the time.  Helped me awhile back.  Forgot his handle but post in the general dicussion hes probably migrated there.  He can recommed outcall agencies for you thats foreignor friendsly.
