Does anyone know what's going on with the STI scare in LA? There's been chatter about this problem on the other forum since beg of May.
I was driving in ktown area and saw a billboard warning for drug resistant gonorrhea. Has anyone experienced that? Is the STI scare a new thing or always been (and I never caught anything) but was just not being talked about? Any info appreciated. I've been thinking about taking a 2 month break but it hasn't been easy. But what's 2 months gonna do anyway to something that spreads easily with these BBFS johns
Most forums have policies that prohibit talking about specific providers as not to throw accusations around easily.
You can say that you got a bug, but a lot of people, especially on this board, probably would be afraid to say so because they'd get laughed at or whatever.
So it's kinda hush hush. A lot of girls don't test regularly, and many mongers test even more rarely. This is bad when chlamydia a lot of times has no symptoms in men and clap often is asymptomatic in women.
Bbfs certainly helps spread the stds, but you can also get it via bbbj, which we all agree is completely ubiquitous. You can get it via daty. And of course, herpes can spread just via kissing, at least the oral one. But I figure all or almost all mongers with 10+ years in the game have herpes.
I've gotten the clap once over last year and I had close scares a couple more times but all my tests were clean in those symptoms. Interestingly enough my clap was asymptomatic too, which as I understand it is unusual.
Are you suggesting that this is nothing new? That STIs have been very prevalent this whole time and just cuz it gets some chatter on forums, it doesn't mean anything new is happening?
I've never got anything as far as I know and I've been hobbying in LA for 8 years.
because BBFS is prevalent. The same sign and similar signs are all over the county, mostly along well-traveled freeways in order to attract the most eyeballs to the ad. The one I posted about two weeks ago was in El Monte, and I can guarantee you there has NEVER been a Kgirl apartment in El Monte. I also saw one in Long Beach, and there has never been a Kgirl apartment there, either. When you try to connect the dots, it has to be plausible. If it's not, it's called a "coincidence", which means it's just a random occurrence and there was no thought or planning behind it.
Still doesn't make me feel better that STIs are becoming drug resistant. And the best way for them to spread on a mass scale are these high volume bbfs shops
If it makes you feel any better, it's not just the pathogens related to STI. Pretty much all bacteria and virus adapt and mutate in response to antibiotics and antivirals.
is put up by a testing facility. Don't know if it's free, paid for by the city or county, or they charge for the test. I was driving and did not write down the website.
Go to the sponsor's website. This is a money grab with an angle, they appear to be getting public monies. They make no claim there is anything new about this, or that it's some kind of public health emergency. Just crap.
Haha, you answered one part of it yourself. You'll have to look at the website to see the rest.
You know something's wrong when they're advertising (announcing) a fact we've know for 20 yrs and there's nothing in current events to bring again to the fore.
