Found the thread. It's a guy in the NOVA forum saying his ATF told him there was a K org bust in LA on 5/25. That's it. No follow-up discussion.

Doubt it brother, this is California, where you can steal from a store and they can't stop you, you can shit on the street and they won't arrest you, the cops out there aren't getting off their asses for anything except a donut.
