Not to mention pledges like "I will NOT feed the troll" are very rarely adhered to. "IF" you can get everyone else here to take your pledge I would be happy to put him back on my personal "do not respond to" list along with his two idiot friends   that I already don't respond to.

 
I will confess I am NOT optimistic, but I appreciate you at least trying to do something about him.

Although other posters may not troll as overtly as BP, I believe the forum would be better served if we focused more on addressing the content of people's posts and comments rather than their character. This is not to say that we should condone racism as there are those who think their racist opinions go unobserved and they should certainly be called out and made an example of.

Sounds like that's a big NO to the original request.  

But, could you sign up to limiting such replies to the one word "Racist"?

Maybe the better approach -- and this is a general statement and not related to the OP about ignoring BP -- if everyone simply practices a bit more of the golden rule but shift it to if you don't have something CONSTRUCTIVE to say don't say anything a lot would be achieved. I think type of view applies in a lot of areas -- such as reviews. Sagacity seems to share my old view on reviews. It is generally just not worth writing meh type of reviews. Just write the truly bad (ripoff/rob) and good reviews. The lack of reviews will push the subpar provider out the door generally. It is a variation on rewarding the behavior you want and ignoring that which you don't.

 
In the end -- again, not really able the OP and BP trolling -- one of the biggest problems is some people's egos. Some will never back down, some will always argue to rationalize their position, some will never acknowledge a mistake. That is what drives most of the train wreck, off the right side of the page threads, IMO.

 
But, yes, to the OP. If no one responded to BP I suspect his behavior would change -- either he well post differently (presumably better) or simply post elsewhere he does get responses.

First of all im not for or against BigP.  But Cmon everyone should be allowed to post whatever they want and you can respond to thei post or not.  Going a little overboard trying to make an effort to ban him.  if anyone wants to be racist or lier they should have the right i say!  This forum is for entertainment!   And its funny reading all the raves and rants.  Lol.  Heck some people think even the lovable me is an asshole!  Can you believe that?!?! When Im the only non BSer in the kgirl board!  

What an inane and naive concept,especially on a site that is built on and makes its money off reviews.

 

What this practice encourages is back channel and private channel trolling,as well as inflation of egos of mongers who have information and hold it in private, instead of making it available in public and render their info useless.  

 

 The idea of inferring that less reviews equals meh quality is so fallacious and laughable, I can't believe it is brought up seriously on what is supposed to be the best review site for hookers.

 If a hundred mongers who only read reviews all go and all have meh sessions and all don't write any reviews, why would the provider leave? If anything, she would be encouraged to do what she's doing.

 
Plus, lack of reviews is then indistinguishable from having many meh reviews. There are some providers who have few reviews but are around for years. Are they providing meh sessions? Or are they just low key and lack reviews? How does one tell without some private communication?  

You usually don't even get a session when you ripped off or robbed. So basically you're saying , write a good review or don't write one at all.  

 
Ignoring bad behavior only gets you so far. If ignoring it implies the bad behavior actors will keep on doing it to others. Then it's best to spread the info.  
I appreciated posters telling me about bigpapa. Doesn't mean I had to agree with their conclusions, but being more informed is always better than not.

I'm willing to go along with your plan if it will tone down dome of the animosity here. Really now, I appreciate your experience and think I am learning from your insights, but I'm sort of burned out on this constant flame war that has sucked the energy out of this forum. Not picking on you personally but it's time for all of us to take a break from this situation.

I’ve stated in some detail elsewhere my reasoning for not reading his posts. In summary, I’m quite willing to miss the very rare occasions when he is honest and contributes something useful.  

 
I will say that, ever since I stopped reading his posts a while back, my ability to simply enjoy discussion on here has significantly increased. Yes, some of the non-BP posts are rants and/or exercises in creative reading. But, hey, it’s a monger forum. If you just skip over the content from trolls, this place can provide useful info (even if it’s buried in a somewhat off-topic rant) and occasionally a little entertainment.  

 
I don’t know about the rest of you. But the entire reason I am here is for that useful info and the occasional entertainment. Though it is also nice to occasionally meet (virtually) someone who shares the same interest and maybe even outlook.

Since the first week of this k-girl board to be exact. I should almost thank him though because it caused another member to create a dedicated invite-only k-girl website that had so much great info, pictures, feedback from certain k-girls, and we were able to share more details with each other. I basically stopped posting here except for the rare occasion like now.

Ignore is your friend. I only have four names on my ignore list, but most threads I check out are considerably shorter and far less annoying. If enough others do the same, their trolling nature will only impact the casuals. Highly recommended.
