At least they had the decency to change the "i" to a "y"

(Talking about Kerry at GFE advisors lmao)

No but in all seriousness, this made me wonder, how do the naming conventions work in kgirl land? How do they keep track of all these names? I understand that a girls' name is in many ways her brand, her trademark, so how does all this work???

(BTW I miss you noona, you're still my ATF)

Your bro,

Sunny

Speaking for the Northeast, I have encountered (and check old posts about) names that were based on colors, numbers, the alphabet, and Korean - English / English - Korean misspellings.
.
One NYC agency had Blue, Pink, Red, etc.. Another had Seven (there have been several Sevens; it makes me think that there is a Korean name that might sound like "seven" so it becomes Seven. Like the Korean name "Soon-Yi" becomes Sunny.) And there were other agencies with Aya, Bia, Cya, Diya, ... the "a" "ah" or "ya" ending is a Korean particle that indicates location. Pencil is a pencil that might be way over there. Pencil-ya is this pencil over here, close to me. A-ya is THIS "A" over here. B-ah is THIS "B" over here. C-ya, Di-ya, et ceter-a, ...
.
Sometimes, I think a Korean "namer" (mamasan, etc.) hears a Western name that they like (maybe a celebrity name) but don't quite get it right when giving that name to a new girl. Miley (Cyrus) becomes Mali (What? Why are you named after an African country?). Likewise, a familiar Korean name gets Anglicanized or Americanized to something else, e.g., above, "Soon-Yi" becomes Sunny. "Jung Lee" or "Joo Li" becomes Julie. Etc. Not that the girl's real name is Jung Lee, but that a fake name that has a familiar (Korean) sound is easier to adjust to.
.
An American actress born "Jane Doe" takes the professional name "Nancy Chambers" and acts in a play or movie as "Marilyn Drew." She doesn't have to learn a new language to manage those names, they are all familiar to a native speaker. Although "Julie" isn't Korean, it sort of sounds like "Joo Lee" or "Jung Lee" and is easier to use professionally than "Calliope" or "Clementine" or "Clytemnestra."

Makes sense. I was more wondering about how they keep track of all the names, avoid duplication, decide who gets named what where, etc

Like is there a master database/CRM? LOL

I've wondered the same thing about all our Asian honeys, though not quite to that detail. LOL.

There a girl here now who goes by Momo. When I saw her a couple of years ago, she was Momo in NYC before she came to DC, and stuck with it. This time, however, she used her JAV screenname in NYC and switched to Momo when she came down here.🤷‍♂️ I don't get it, but it makes sense to somebody.

I'm pretty sure she was already doing AV back in '21, but all her vids using her screenname "Ren" are from '22 and '23 and I can't find her using the screenname Momo. And that's where it get's even more confusing: lots of JAV girls do vids using multiple screennames. I only know that from searching on talent before paying them for some pussy time. I'm think that, too, is the agency's call.

(I asked last night which she preferred, Ren or Momo. She went with Momo... smart chick. Make your booker look good! Haha. For the record, I liked Momo the first time I saw it -- it has other connotations.🏎️)

that reaches across multiple orgs, and that is why we often get multiple girls working in a place like SoCal with the same name.  Within the past year, there were three "Janes" working in OC at the same time, but each with a different org.  Some bookers will purposely give a new girl a name that was used by a well-known girl in the past to try to catch some business from newer mongers who heard the name floated around in a positive way but never saw the original girl.

that will not give a Kgirl a place to work unless she agrees to take on a new name for that org.  So while the girls are independent, some orgs do have rules in order to work there if they want to.  A new name requirement is used to address the large number of mongers who seldom repeat with the same girls and are always looking for that next "new girl."  Giving her a new name will drive the "hunter"-mongers to book with her.
