I absolutely refuse to be put on a script, unless its my own. Most will go with the flow if you come off as skillful and confident, which I know you are. I have only had one that was determined to get through it HER way regardless of whether I had a good time or not. The score would have been so low I didn't bother to review her. Predictably, she's long gone.
Ha, I had the same experience with one who is still here (and rated very highly). Fortunately for me, a thread here linked her new name to her previous name. That saved me a trip and some cash. Otherwise, I would have walked as soon as she opened the door and I saw who it was.

You asked about "trying harder." Call me stupid but I don't think I ever got the feeling that anyone, from non-GFE AMP to $5 indy, was "trying harder" in a competitive sense.
