in the past, room salons and similar places were out of the general public's view. yes you could see their brick and mortar locations but only their patrons knew what was really going on in there. recently there has been a ton of media coverage on Korea's room salons, clubs, brothels etc. there was even a crackdown on these things announced by the former president of korea.
due to this exposure; women, wives, girlfriends, moms, sisters began to scrutinize korean men when they go out at night. it has become much tougher to partake in these activities. domino effect from there.
don't get me wrong, business is still booming for these places but the men do feel more heat when they go out at night.
how will it effect things here? not much. the 2 big whammys on the kgirls scene here was trump and corona.
word spread during trumps time that there was a good chance that a korean girl traveling into the US alone would be denied entry or HEAVILY scrutinized. then corona happened.
with a democrat president and corona virus easing up, things should start getting "back to normal" for the kgirl scene.
