I completely agreed with you.  A review site should accept links from any ad site.

To begin with I want to say that I have been a long time member and supporter of TER. During that time I have seen a number of changes- most I have agreed with, some I have not. That being said, I think that maybe now TER should take the high road in this ongoing skirmish with a popular ad site used by most Asian providers and allow their ads to be referenced here when members write their reviews. Granted that ad site has a direct link to another review site, and I would imagine there is some kind of financial connection between those two. Nevertheless, I think TER could still allow members to post reviews here without endorsing that other review site in any way. Yes, we have some other options, but let's be honest, the LAKstyle blog is nothing more than a vehicle to allow someone to post a review of a K girl here. It is not an ad site per se and it has a number of shortcomings. Where does someone go to get current information and availability? To the banned site of course! Then one has to switch back and use the blog address to write the review. I fear that a lot of newer members to this hobby are just not going to jump through these hoops. In addition, this is not just an issue with the K girls. There are also a number of non-Asian providers who use that ad site only and no others. So how can anyone ever review them here?

I feel that if TER would take this step it could promote itself as the premier review site that has no ties to any ad site and thus has no potential conflict of interest. Let the other review site do its own thing. Eventually cream rises to the top. If you create the right model people will come. Maybe I'm missing something here and maybe I'm not privy to all the information, but I think that TER's refusal to even acknowledge that ad site is short sighted and is only going to hurt TER in the long run. The current turmoil has been going on too long.

I know that there are probably a number of TER members that may disagree with this idea and I welcome their opinions. After all, that's what a discussion board should be all about. I would like to close by quoting Sun Tzu from "The Act of War": "...in the midst of chaos, there is opportunity."
Ciao!

I completely agreed with you.  A review site should accept links from any ad site.

...when said ad site has the name of a competitor's review site plastered all over it and is directing people to write reviews on the competing  site.  This is the real world, not "Miracle on 34th Street" where Macy's sends competitors to Gimbel's.  TER shouldn't link to an ad site that wants to take business away from TER.  When is the last time you saw a Ford dealer print an ad with a list of cars available on the lot and also print the list of available cars at the competing Chevy dealer

As usual, Cenzo, you make a lot of sense. However, TER didn't listen to its members back when this split first occurred, so I don't have a lot of faith that they will listen now. I made a similar (though less eloquent) argument in January 2013, along with many other folks who felt the same way, and TER did nothing.

See the link below for a flash-back to that time. It might as well be yesterday. The basic issues have not changed one bit since then.

As many people here know, this is one of the major reasons that LAKS was started -- to provide a makeshift solution to this very problem. If it wasn't for LAKS, there essentially would be no LA k-girl reviews on TER. That's a simple fact. Unfortunately, I don't think this dispute will end until a certain ad site smartens up and realizes that its undisciplined partner, AFraud, is dragging it down to a dark place where it might not survive

...road, it should be the ad site which is in direct competition with TER.  They should sever ties with the competing review site.

I believe it is much more than "some kind of financial connection between those two."  I believe the ad site STARTED the competing review site.  They saw TER's business and thought they would get in on the "easy money."  They even copied TER's profile format almost to a T.  The ad site should close their review site - it appears to be more trouble than it's worth.

You are looking at the situation that is in YOUR best interest, not TER's.  It would be much more convenient for you, but you're disregarding the fact that TER would be helping a competitor.

At one time, the ad site had a relationship with TER and would direct people to the TER website but they stopped that practice when they started a competing site.  Now you want TER to turn the other cheek and direct people to the ad site which directs people to a TER competitor?

the competition. Theirs is position the norm in business. In the past week TER reaffirmed their position that the competition shall not be promoted on TER . Links from another ad sites were banned after the ad  site expanded into reviews. Check this link on the DC page.

I am not sure about the future of Ads sites. I would not surprised the ads site formerly used by TER & now part of the septic tank group would survive to this time next year. What happened to the site in the BA  is bound to travel south.

The KDs need to  create their own website.
