Wayback Machine man.  Works for every website on the internet every time it's snapshotted.  Useful for looking at previous iterations of websites and how they've evolved over the years.  It's pretty common knowledge.

I find it funny how so many people on the forums are just now discovering "new" toys that have been around for ages like the Wayback Machine, VPNs, TOR, proxies.  Seeing so many "Hey guys, I guess I'm in the Netherlands now.  LOL!"  I just want to face desk.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not as tech-savvy as I should be, but like many older guys, I have hired a lot of bright younger people for my business that know all about this stuff so that I don't have to.  It means I only learn what I NEED to know.  I NEEDED to know about VPN's to be here, so I learned about them.  I really don't have time to "explore" the internet for other cool stuff that you call "toys."  I just ask someone who works for me to take care of it . . . . . except for hobby matters.  Then I need to bring myself up to speed.  Please have patience with the older guys while we continue to learn. As can be seen by the absence of so many veterans on this board, most of the older guys haven't figured VPN access out yet.

Not everyone is super tech savvy. Some are due to interest alignment or just because they work in the industry.

There has always been and will be "new" tools that have been around for ages. As CDL has stated, you don't really NEED to know about them until you have a need to use them.

I think it's good that things are more restricted.  I think having the market too easy for people to enter can be a bad thing.  Used to be you would find a darknet market and use IRC.  Public websites and phone numbers all over the place mixed with guys wearing Tommy Bahama shirts wandering around buildings and doing laps looking at their phones isn't good for anything.  They're not built for this.  Part of me welcomes a return to 2004-era when everything is not there in front of your face.  A lot of guys should go back to the massage parlors that had ads in the paper.  Or do it the old fashioned way at hotel bars.

Frankly, if someone is doing illegal things online and he doesn't know about how to stay anonymous with VPN or at least a proxy, then I'd caution that person to really think things over as far as hobbies are concerned.

I agree, I'm just saying people are acting kind of silly.
