Really, maybe that's how you engage with them so the respond in kind. I've generally always had friendly interactions at the minimum to some nice flirting with the women bookers (or in the case of text only I can only hope they are women!)

As far as others, they could either be gay or straight and fucking with me! They do know how to flirt like a woman, if they are men! I've also ran into straight forward business only women, if they are women!
Whichever booker is the easiest and fairest to work wtih gets my vote. Male or female, doesnt matter. I know of good and bad bookers of both genders. And usually the main reason I know their genders is that other monger bros talk about them.
I do pretty much all of my booking via texts. Don't want to expose my voice anywhere. Maybe a bit too paranoid, considering if they want they can record it at the incall,but nonetheless. The way I see it, the less direct or personal interaction I have with a booker, the better. I'm not interested in being a vip or a friens of a booker, even if such networking can bring benefits. Anyhow, I guess to reiterate... Gender of a booke really doesn't make a difference by itself imo.

I realize they are in a business to make money but I’ll refer to experiences from the AMP model. Every AMP has a mamasan. Some give you the stink-eye or interrogate you ruthlessly before admitting you (or not). Some treat you like some mangy mutt off the street with a coldness often reserved for someone you suspect has fucked you over in a major way. You put up with it o get your strokes in and it could factor into whether you return or not. Then there are other mamasans who treat you like a welcome customer. They offer you drinks and or food in the parlor, make suggestions for which girl to see, or even flirt. Hell some hotter mamasans might give you a quick blow, or fuck if your girl was still busy to pass the time (Hawaii was different. Believe me.). Those were the joints that got the most business. The fun started as soon as you stepped through the door at Seven, Empire, Happiness or Tokyo Spa. Not only were you going to get some no muss no fuss pussy, but you were made to feel welcomed. I’ll go wherever to bang but two or three orgs keep my attention because their stables are good or outstanding and the bookers are great to work with.
No, I agree I think we generally have a good sense if the booker is male or female both from conversations during the session if talk touches on that area and just based on the communications themself.
And like you I do enjoy the flirting and cute gifs and emojis the female bookers will send. But generally I don't really care and anything from functional to pleasant/polite banter in the communication is fine with me. I just make the effort not to cross over into the I'm taking up time when they are trying to work level so will keep the exchanges focused on the business interaction.
This is just a random question with no malice behind it - but what would be the reason for former working girls to stay as bookers and having to deal with customers all day?
