Some people are turned on by things that disgust others. It's said that evolution is a cheap programmer. This is very offtopic and random from me, but all those DNA ancestry checkers online store your DNA in databases that can then be checked against.
And I believe the government, if needed, can very well ask for this data to be turned over to them.
In other words, once you use that innocuous looking service that tells your ancestry for 40 bucks, you sold your DNA to be found online by people who might be interested. And if your relatives did this, well it's fairly
close to you selling your DNA. Lol.
Its fairly common knowledge now, but I thought I'd share. If you're interested, look up how east bay r8pist/Golden state killer in the bay area was found using some great detective work. Without a genealogy site and people who willingly sent their DNA, he would've never been caught.
